We loved this hotel! It was only a block from the train station, which made it very easy to get to the airport. However, the sound proofing was fantastic, because we were never disturbed by train noise. The staff were excellent, holding our bags for us before check-in and after check-out. They helped us figure out the public transportation and were very friendly. Our room was great. The bed and pillows were both supportive and very comfortable. The bathroom was well stocked and roomy. Breakfast was a huge affair, with multiple options that changed day to day. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!
We stayed at this hotel for three nights from the 3rd-6th June 2022’ Room- When we arrived into our room, it had a very comfortable double bed, sofa bed, good sized TV, good sized bathroom and plenty of charging points to charge my electrical items. I also liked all the Nordic toiletries and the design of the room. Facilities- Whilst at the hotel, we had breakfast in the main hotel restaurant.- Lykke. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of continental items (meats, cheeses), a few hot items and a good selection of breads and pastries. As this hotel offers free breakfast with their room rate, I felt the breakfast offering was very good at this hotel. On our first night, we had a few drinks in the hotel bar and it had a good selection of local beers and Gins. Location- This hotel gets a 10/10 for location- It’s near all the major sites, attractions, shopping etc. The hotel is next door to the Stockholm Central station where you can catch the Arlanda Express to the Airport. It takes around 18 minutes and trains depart every 20 minutes. The Gamla Stan (the old town) is around a 20 minute walk from the hotel and there’s plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. If you love ABBA, you should go to the Abba Museum. The Museum is located on the Djurgarden island and it’s around a 35 minute walk from the hotel. Alternatively as Stockholm is surrounded by water, you can easily pop on one of the ferries to the other islands. The ferries are frequent and are reasonably priced. I would also recommend going to the Vasa Museum. It’s about a five minute walk from the Abba Museum and it’s very interesting learning about the history of the boat- It was epic. Lastly I would recommend doing a Archipelago boat trip around Stockholm. The tour takes around 2-3 hours and costs around 345 SEK per person. Dining- Stockholm is also blessed to have a great number of restaurants in the city. If you are interested in looking for a yummy informal Nordic meal, I would recommend going to Bistro Bestick. The restaurant is around a five minute walk from the hotel and the food is fabulous- You should try the Vension Loin and the Truffle Crème Burlee. If you are looking for a contemporary modern restaurant, I would recommend going to Rolfs Kok. It’s around a 12 minute walk to this restaurant from the hotel. Whilst the food is pricey, it’s definitely worth having at least one dinner here. The food is wonderful and you should try the Beef Entrecôte and the Ox Cheek- It was so good! Overall, I loved my stay at the hotel & Stockholm and if I ever came back to this city, I would consider staying here.…
Fantastic hotel! Great location, right next to the Central Station and easy access to trams, buses, metro and trains. Fab breakfast, including the famous cinnamon buns. Rooms modern, clean and high quality. For us simply the best place to stay in Stockholm for a city break
Was very comfortable at the Nordic light. The breakfast spread is not only extensive but also delicious! I looked forward to the choices each morning. The room itself was very comfortable, good pillows/bed, I was a little worried facing the street would get noisy but the windows were very soundproof, I slept very well. Also the proximity to the Central station is incredibly convenient.
Loved this place. Stockholm is an amazing city and this hotel delivers. It was clean, cool, lovely staff and located centrally. My room was spacious and comfortable and everything was pristine. The breakfast buffet was amazing and I’m super fussy about food (read my other reviews LOL) but could not fault this. Thank you so much Nordic Light Hotel!
The location is excellent--so close to the Central train station and express airport train. This hotel is placed in the middle of everything. Close to shops, tourist attractions, public transportation and more. The room was wonderful, clean, large with an amazing view Friendly helpful staff. ...my only complaints was that their front sign is almost invisible, I saw a big sign on the top of the building the next day when I was coming dawn from the street across the hotel building, no way you can see it if you are walking along the hotel building, but for the one hanging front the ceiling in front of the hotel it is almost invisible causing me to walk past the entrance 4 times dragging my luggage before I figured out it was the hotel.. The breakfast buffet had a great variety but if you’re Vegan as I am, the options are small. The shower did not have a seal under the glass or curtain so water went everywhere on the floor, I would definitely recommend it and stay there again!…
I had a fantastic welcoming experience since the minute I walk in too at Nordic light A very nice receptionist name Devvin and Emmary very helpful and makes us feel welcome. The room was very nice, clean and beautiful design. Nice bed .
Hotel is in very good location 3 mins by central station. Hotel is very modern and very friendly. Special thank you to Josefina at reception she was very friendly, helped me a lot and had amazing customer service
This is a busy (what seems like primarily business) hotel. I spent a week here during a conference and the people could not have been nicer. My room was beautiful... a corner room with most of two sides being glass. Decor was what I'd call Swedish spartan. I loved it... The room was small'ish and I can imagine it being pretty crowded if there were two of us and we actually planned on spending any real time in the room, but for 1 it was perfect. And best yet, the Arlanda Express is right down the street. Breakfast was great. Cannot stress enough how helpful all the staff was. I'd definitely go back if I'm ever in Stockholm.
Absolutely loved the Nordic Light Hotel. Walked off the express airport train and the hotel was 50 metres away. Our room was modern, super clean and had everything, importantly, a safe and minibar with snacks. The hotel is in a safe area, a 10 minute walk from Stockholm old town. Great bars and plenty of restaurants and shopping super close by. The breakfast was sensational with plenty of options. Lastly, the staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Nordic Light Hotel! 5 star experience!!
