Nice hotel, clean rooms and pleasant staff. Good central location right by the metro and lots of local restaurants which were cheaper than central Stockholm. Breakfast was OK and available until 11am.
Only downside was that we forgot our shower gel and there was only...More
Rex Hotel was a nice little hotel with a very strategic location fully worth of its 3 stars. The rooms are a bit tiny but at least ours was really quiet and had all we could ask for except space. Decoration is very modern and...More
I stayed here a couple of nights with my family and overall we are very happy with the stay! The hotel is privately owned with a personal character. You can see this from the minute you enter the lobby, which basically is just an old...More

Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s
actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.

Take either the Arlanda Express or the Fly Bus to Stockholm's Central Station. The bus is much cheaper, but takes longer. From there you can either walk of take the Underground (T-Bana) to the Rådmansgatan stop, which is what I did. From there it's only a short walk to the hotel.
