A wonderful stay in a convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff, super room with great facilities. Short but excellent evening menu - maybe breakfast could do with more fresh fruit? A bit expensive, like the rest of Stockholm, but not outrageous.

This hotel is great! Modern with a lot of design. Friendly staff. clean. Bar of the hotel is very popular in the neighbourhood. Room was big and quiet breakfast buffet was very generous. In a more residential neighbourhood but walkable to old town and all atractions.

Stayed one night at this hotel in mid-March. Very small room, very small bathroom, few accessories in the bathroom, for example, no shower cap, no ears tops. Missing several things there. Very good breakfast, with everything you could want. Pleasant service in both the reception and bar. A bit pricy for what you get.

Located in the Sodermalm district in a quiet & charming neighborhood far enough from the busy tourist area. It is walking distance to the old town, the beautiful sites of Stockholm, great eating places, train station and ferry docks. The hotel is modern and well appointed. Our room was large, clean, nicely decorated and had a small balcony. It has...

Housed in an old movietheatre, and full of ABBA mementos, this is a warm, friendly hotel full of style and personality on the chic south side of Stockholm. From check in to breakfast, service is fast, professional and plentiful. No waiting for anything! The rooms are personalized, come with candies and movies as well as comfy bed and large towels!...

Arrived at Hotel Rival at 11am. It was awesome to check in early, drop off our bags and go explore the city. Front desk staff were super friendly, gave us a few suggestions on where to eat and shop. Room as clean, had everything we needed. Hotel is very close to the metro station. Would definitely stay at Rival again!...

We were booked here as part of a Weekend A La Carte package for two nights. since it wasn't busy, the desk asked if we'd like to upgrade (which amounted to about $25 US for each night for two nights) and we did. The room was large (I think it was an accessible room) and had a little balcony. I...

From the start we were treated so very well. The staff were always attentive and friendly. The room was terrific, with a really cool shower. Our first morning there we met Tony and Hannah who was the chef and wait staff for breakfast. They were so helpful and we had the best time. We enjoyed it so much we booked...

Stayed here for a few nights recently on a family break. Ok-so I selected the hotel based on the TripAdvisor ratings/reviews. Booking and initial interaction with the hotel staff was snappy and attentive-English was fluent and service levels were high. It's in a safe neighbourhood with a lot of high end art galleries and design studios close by. If you...

Lovely room overlooking the small park in front. The staff were very friendly and helpful, advising on train times to the airport etc for our trip home. The breakfasts were full of choice - fruit, yoghurt, omelets, pancakes as well as ham, cheese etc. Gluten free bread was readily available on asking, even two or three different kinds each day...

Staying in Mariatorget

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariatorget
This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars. Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park or one of the nearby coffee shops, so come to Mariatorget to meet the locals. The northern part of Mariatorget boasts historic buildings, beautiful cobblestone streets, and one of Stockholm’s best observation decks, Monteliusvägen, from where you can see an amazing view of the city hall and Stockholm’s old town.
