We stayed there for 4 nights. The room was clean, the shared showers also seemed clean to me. The breakfast had an acceptable range of meat cheese bread eggs, but it is normal supermarket convenience stuff. Also cereals and butter and jam were available and a selection of juices (convenience). What I really liked was the fully equipped kitchen for...

I just spent four nights at this establishment. It used to be good, but now it was totally unacceptable. 1. The place is filthy dirty. The shared showers had not been properly cleaned for a long time. There was ingrown dirt in the tiles. Old towels laying around and very dirty. 2. At breakfast I had to look closely to...

We chose That Hostel because of the location which was great. However, the hostel was not very clean, breakfast was poor (as cheese, and ham were very old), and the staff was not very informed as they were not able to recommend a restaurant nearby...

My partner and I decided to stay at Mosebacke Hostel as we needed a place to stay while looking for a apartment in Stockholm. We stayed there for 5 nights and let me say that it was the worst hostel stay I ever experience for the price of over 600SEK/Night(around 70 euro). I don’t even know where to start. -Staff...

In my point of view the most important thing for a satisfying rating is the cleanliness. The Mosebacke Hostel is in a good condition and clean! It is good enough for a stay with friends. But in my situation I travelled with my girlfriend and thus we booked a double room. The room was clean but really small and it...

We stayed here for a weekend which was super busy in Stockholm, meaning the prices of hotel rooms were jacked through the roof! We booked this hostel mostly based on price, but of course we leaned heavily on location and photos posted of the hostel on Hotels.com. The pictures lie quite a bit. The rooms are small and it's super...

Our room was without a window, with dry AC-air and worst of all, the breakfast buffet was located right above, and since the isolation was awful, it sounded like 20 elephants ran around over our bed for two hours every morning. The security was bad as well. By accident we pushed the alarm (it didn't have a sign saying it...

So we arrived past midnight and hit the doorbell, well the guy from the front desk was pissed and told us our reservation wasnt there (it was) so after he told us we were dumb got us into a bedroom, no windows, no lock on the door (so he went inside whenever he wanted to). Made terrible jokes and "pranks"...

Pro: * it is very centrally located in Södermalm, one of the most interesting districts in Stockholm * there is enough room for all guests, no overcrowding like in some other hostels * the reception personnel is very friendly and helpful * free wifi, works quite well * well equipped kitchen * there is a night guard, but whether he...

In the pros side it has a kitchen with everything you could need that you could use it for free! This is something very good because prices if you want to eat in Sweden are really expensive! Also it has some computers with internet that you could use also for free. Moreover,it offers breakfast included in the price that is something very rare...

Staying in Slussen

Neighbourhood Profile
Slussen
A unique mix of grotesque 1960s concrete urban vision and cosy historical Swedish brick houses, Slussen has become one of Stockholm’s most architecturally edgy and controversial neighborhoods. Plans to rebuild the area have been on the agenda for decades, however, so far no agreement could be reached, which is the reason for the continuing decay of its brutalist substance. Nevertheless, the museums and the main shopping street, Götgatan, attract both locals and tourists with Sweden’s most fashion-forward clothing retailers, hipster coffee shops and restaurants. Once the lights are out, the area turns into a bustling nightlife haven, catering to all preferences, from posh hotel bars to sweaty underground nightclubs. There is no better place to experience the clash between old and new Sweden.
