Everything in this hotel is small. Well... not necessarily the staff or the breakfast, they are excellent and "grand". I stayed in a cellar single room. Clean, functional and SMALL. A very comfortable bed, good lighting a desk and a chair. The shared bathroom was also clean and SMALL. If you're the slightest oversized, you will not fit.

We spent as much as 5 nights at Rex and, honestly, loved every moment of our stay. It might be because of the off-season that it was kind of quiet and people weren't swarming in, so October turned out to be a very pleasant month for visiting Stockholm. The room, though tiny (beware if you have a lot of of...

Clean and neat small room that suites well for friends/a couple wanting to stay centrally at an affordable cost. Comfy beds, small but well functioning bathroom and a good quality breakfast with homemade bread and all else you need to get an energetic start for the day!

I had a 2-nights stay at the Rex hotel in Stockholm. This is, by far, the smallest 'room' I have ever stayed in. I couldn't even open my luggage. The room was underground (!!!), which meant there was no window or any natural light coming in so it felt like a (very small) prison cell. Breakfast was good, WiFi worked...

The rooms are extremely small, there is literally no space to walk if you have a suitcase on the floor. It is also not very convenient if you need anything from the reception in the evenings (including checkin) because you need to go to the hotel across the street as Rex Petit has no staff in the reception in the...

We had read some bad reviews about the Rex Petit, but it was nice enough for our 3 nights stay in Stockholm. Our room was in the "dungeon", without window and really small, but we already knew that and can't complain. At least it had an also small bathroom and we didn't have to go shower in a shared one,...

It looked like such a nice hotel, but what i got was a hostel standard room in the basement and a rash on my legs that lasted for a week, maybe It was the fabric softener, no idea, never had this before. Personel was friendly and breakfast was nice especially in the garden.

A dugged out cellar floor with steep stairs and narrow and uneven passageways, A teensy-weensy toilet for the occupants in the 4 cabinrooms (out of 22 total) that are without shower/WC Otherwise modern rooms with nice beds. Reception til 22.00, coffee-machine and computer in lobby. Satisfying breakfast (nice inner yard weather permitting) Four star Hotel Hellsten (same owner) opposite on...

The hotel is in a good location for the universities and the Wenner-Gren centre, close to a T-bana station, and there are many bars and restaurants nearby. The downtown area is a moderate walk away (~25 mins to the central station); add another 10-15 mins for Gamla Stan. I was in a small, basic room with no windows, but the...

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
