The reception girls named Eleanor who works at night shift is unbelievable! She has been very helpful and patient with answering every question from us! Just cannot thank her enough! She makes our trip more lovely and enjoyable!

Comfy beds, clean common areas and friendly staff. The kitchen is well equipped and the hostel is very well located in a calm quarter of Stockholm. I would definitely recommend it. It is very close to good restaurants (not too expensive) and supermarkets. There is also some free food in the kitchen. Always free tea and coffee.

This hostel is located close to Skanstull station so you can easily get there by subway from Stockholm T-central. I stayed in a 4-bed room. It's kind of under the ground so most of the rooms don't have a window. But it's very convenient and comfortable staying there. The atmosphere is good and friendly, you meet people from different countries...

This hostel is a good option if you are looking for an affordable option with an acceptable location. It is located within an acceptable walking distance from city centre or otherwise you have a metro station just 2 minutes away. I took a private room; which had a nice decoration and a comfortable bed and a TV but it was...

Great location. Super nice people. I would recommend to anyone going to Stockholm. Great value for the price. We had a private room with bathroom. Small, but nicely decorated & everything we needed. Loved it.

My friend and I stayed 3 nights in a 12 bed dorm. I was really impressed with this place. The beds have individual lights and there were plenty of electrical sockets throughout the room. I rented sheets here for a small fee. The Wifi worked well throughout. I loved the way everything was decorated. Very funky cool. I found the...

Stayed in this lovely hostel for 2 nights in mid September. Very lovely hostel 2 minutes away from tube station and bus stops. As a hostel keep in mind that bedsheets are 5£ extra while towels are free. Kitchen is amazing, spatious, cosy, homy and well kept, there are free coffe, tea and pasta and a lot of space to...

Friendly staff, not crowded, good infrastructure and its in the basement. They charge bedding extra what I didn't like and you see then some people sleeping without that. I miss breakfast but they are working on it

Staying in SoFo & Medborgarplatsen

Neighbourhood Profile
SoFo & Medborgarplatsen
Throughout the last decades these neighborhoods transformed from a rather quiet residential area into the birthplace of Swedish hipsterism and became Sweden’s main hub for new fashion labels, independent coffee shops and innovative gastropub concepts. Despite their extreme transformation, SoFo (South of Folkungagatan) & Medborgarplatsen managed to hold on to their residential charm and quietness and became one of the most sought-after places to live among young people in Stockholm. This neighborhood is also home to Sweden’s highest student hall, Skrapan, which used to be the head office of the tax authorities and now combines a mix of student hall and shopping mall with a bar on top.
