First of all the front desk staff were terrific, especially Ull. He went out of his way to accommodate our needs. He pointed us to great places to dine and to visit. The breakfast is plentiful The dining room very romantic with brick vaulted ceilings The library for coffee and tea a great place to read. Our room was quiet...

A beautiful old hotel dating back to the 16th century. The lift had the old gates that you close after shutting the door! The room was perfectly adequate with a nice bathroom. The shower is in the bath. The breakfast was hot items such as egg and bacon and the usual cold buffet. Breakfast was in a 12th century vaulted...

An old hotel but in very good condition. Historical stories about each room. Rooms in the courtyard. Access to the patio. 5 minutes walk to the city center. Very good and varied breakfast. Close to train station and harbor. Value for money.

Fascinating location, with a long history. Every corner has something to tell... the old library, a beautiful elevator built in 1938, the breakfast room with a voulted ceiling and many other interesting details.

If you have the desire to stay in a crisp modern room then this hotel may not be for you. It's an opportunity to stay in a private museum that dates from 1307. When you get into the 1930s art deco lift that should be the centrepiece of a Hollywood period blockbuster it is absolutely perfect, so whatwhat it isn't...

Dear JamesFRICS Thank you for your delightful review. Guests that are seeking a crisp modern hotel, they will indeed have showed up in vain here at our little establishment :) We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay. Side note, I too just love the elevator, despite the fact that half its occupants forget to close the inner shutter..:)...

The Mayfair had been on our wish list for a while now. It is an amazing building in a perfect location, and is oozing with history and charm. The restaurant, Snapphane, was wonderful, but when we got to our room, which was a junior suite off a wonderful little courtyard, we were met with one of the most uncomfortable beds...

Very good value for the price. Stayed overnight in Malmo and took train to Copenhagen Airport the next day. Professional and friendly staff, including housekeeping. Lovely small hotel with clean rooms. Good buffet breakfast. Well located near train station and city centre. Would recommend.

I had a wonderful stay here. Everything was perfect! The hotel is such a gem, quirky old and lovely kept just a few minutes walk from the station. This is a place for those of us who enjoy history and personality and find the standard hotels quite boring but still want all the comfortness of them. I stayed in a...

This is a quirky, funky and very interesting and intriguing hotel. The service was excellent, the room was great and it is about as central as you could want. The breakfast room is in he cellars which date from 1309 - this gives a sense of its pedigree. We will return and it actually deserves 6/5!
