The nicest place I have honestly ever stayed. Chris and Margaret were so warming and made us feel very comfortable. They made us. Lovely vegetarian breakfast with cooked bread and nothing was too much trouble. The room itself was absolutely stunning and for the money it's on another level. The gardens are gorgeous and they have a roaring fire in...

Thank you so much for your very kind review and very pleased you found the vegetarian breakfast to your liking and also very pleasing to find another fan of the fried bread.I must confess i love it. We look forward to meeting up again later this year. Best wishes Chris and Margaret.

Chris and Margaret are wonderful hosts; their house is a restful oasis in the English countryside. We stayed for just two nights and wished we could have stayed more. The room was large and comfortable, the breakfast (with many local-sourced foods, including their own bacon and sausages) was fantastic (you don't often get fried bread anymore, and here it was...

Again i have been very remiss in not replying quicker to this excellent review.I think it is quite correct that we are a throw back to old fashioned b/b`s. But hopefully we have not forgotten how important service is and yes you will get fried bread !!.Thank you Chris and Margaret

After a busy day at Alton Towers my husband and I stayed at Manor House Farm for a night. Chris and Margaret were really lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome. The house is a beautiful building and has been decorated and furnished extremely sympathetically to it's era and with real care. Everywhere was very clean and homely and...

We took our family to Manor House after a long day at Aston towers water park (which is very close by) and from the outset it surpassed all of our expectations. The building itself is absolutely beautiful and the family room which we booked was large and luxurious. There are also lovely little touches such as little teddy bears which...

Thank you so much for your 5 star review. We don't like to ask people guests to review us so we will probably not get as many as some other b/b`s. Consequently it is always very pleasing to receive a review such as this. We are both very pleased you all enjoyed your stay and also very pleased you enjoyed Alton...

If you like staying in an old farm house, if you like a house full of antiques (excluding Margaret and Chris of course), if you like a wonderful traditional breakfast, if you like tennis or croquet, if you like beautiful gardens, if you like the Peak District, if you like Alton Towers (not obligatory), THEN YOU WILL LOVE Manor House...

Hi Paul Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review,Great to have you all staying with us again.Thank you. Especially for the wonderful way you managed to test my brain as regards breakfasts.Seven consistantly different each day.A REAL DELIGHT !!.Joking aside when our guests keep returning and become good friends is why b/b is so rewarding....

Our children, 3 and 5, were captivated by the garden, squealing and giggling through it like some ethereal maze from of a fairytale. Chris and Margaret went above and beyond our every hope for a relaxing stay, kind and giving people. Their Full English breakfast was something to savour after a comfortable sleep on richly made, soft beds. The whole...

We stayed in the Keeper's Cottage for 2 weeks. One of the loveliest places we have ever stayed, very well renovated retaining the character of the old cottage but providing all the comforts required. We really loved all the little nooks and crannies, the low beams (although my 6 foot tall son did bump his head once or twice), the...

It is extremely pleasing to get such a complimentary review especially for our self catering cottage. The cottage is just next to our main house and guests are welcome to use all the main gardens. If you are tall a certain amount of head bending may be required as the cottage is full of character including the odd low doorway but...

Our family (Mum, Dad, three sons and their girls) had a wonderful weekend at this gorgeous place, to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. We walked and went on Quad bikes and played Laser tag and it was great to come back to this amazing BnB each evening. The rooms were quite fantastic, comfortable four poster beds and great in-room tea...
