Good higher class modern hotel, can recommend. Rooms spacious, good view above the water, nice breakfast buffet. Good for both business and pleasure. It's next to a shopping mall in the business district of the city. To get to the city center you either have to walk 15 minutes or take the train.

Stayed 2 nights. Room clean and comfortable. Definitely need improvement. Fitness centre small. Open at 6. But not punctual as was there at 6 but still not open. Breakfast is ok but can improve with more varieties of food. Also when there at opening 6.30am some of the food not ready. Had my lunch at the restaurant but choice on...

I stayed at the Island for three nights in July 2014, and it was in many ways a mixed experience. I started off with a rather large room on the lowest floor, however this was located straight towards a large road, so I asked the reception if it was possible to move? It was, and I instead got a smaller...

A modern style hotel, with beautiful sight and very good personnel, looking at any time at customer satisfaction. The breakfast is adeguate, even it could be better, expecially regarding fruits. Helle Ljungberg og Nino Romano

Like most of the old harbour areas in cities, they are not in the most cenral locations - until the city starts to grow into it. However - central enough to have a walk to the old city (or rent a bike at the hotel, or take the bus line 11A, a city circle line, virtually taking you to all...

Nice room, excellent service, good breakfast, but it may cost you a fortune in taxis gato get to the center of the city and return, unless you are willing to walk 25 to 30 minutes in each direction or or ride a bicicle come raining or shine

Stylish rooms with good bathrooms and a great view. However, the curtains let in lots of light and the air conditioning is poor so it's pretty warm. The breakfast room is like a rugby scrum, too small, not enough staff, no tea or milk and when I asked for some no-one came back to me. However I'd stay again but...

Don't Stay Here! We were on a cruise the first week of August that ended in Copenhagen. I had booked our reservations well in advance to stay at the hotel the night before we departed Copenhagen for London and returned to the U.S. We arrived at the hotel in the morning, after the ship docked in Copenhagen. We left our...

Spent two days in Copenhagen to sight-see. I chose this hotel because of the positive reviews, reasonable room rate and proximity to public transportation. The airport-to-hotel transfer was easy and inexpensive thanks to the train. The hotel check-in was friendly, efficient and professional. My third-floor room had a small balcony and faced the harbour. Breakfast on the restaurant terrace was...

Thank you very much for the review. We are very sorry for the situation concerning our air-conditioning which suddenly broke completely down Unfortunately it could not be fixed, which meant we had to install a new system for cooling. We do hope to see you again and next time we will be able to offer a nice room with aircontiontion....

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
