We were looking for something unusual for a city break in Copenhagen and this was a real "find". Its pretty central with good bars nearby though you would miss out if you didn't experience the late evening under rugs, with a coffee on the terrace at this hotel. We received a warm reception on arrival and the staff could not...

Carlton Guldesmeden is a Green Globe-certified hotel ideally situated in the Vestbro area, a few blocks from the train station and Tivoli Gardens. The reception area includes a bar and an organic cafe for breakfast and light meals. A bonus are the balconies opening on two sides with comfortable lounge chairs to sit and relax after a day of touring....

Stayed one night here and the staff is very warm and willing to help. The room is very beautiful and stylish design. All the bath supplies, e.g. shampoo, body wash are organic products. The breakfast could be better if it charged a high price. Location is good and there is a supermarket just nearby the hotel.

We stayed here for one night. Very warm welcome from reception on arrival and as our rooms had been cleaned we checked in early and went off out to explore. We were back by late afternoon to enjoy some excellent mulled wine and Danish cookies which we drank outside on the balcony - wrapped up in the blankets provided with...

Whilst this hotel promises much and like a lot of Copenhagen hotels it charges a high price the delivery is not matching the price. In all honesty we didn't try the breakfast which did look fantastic with a lot of happy looking people enjoying it. Our disappointment comes from the room (210) which in the interest of balance is roomy...

We stayed here one night and I seriously considered booking another night. Situated in trendy Vesterbro - a leisurely walk into central Copenhagen or a short bus ride. From the moment we were greeted by the effervescent receptionist we were happy. Nothing was a problem for her. She was fantastic. I had requested a quiet room and that is what...

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and were blown away by the welcome we received. The hotel is 98% organic (though this was not a consideration for us). The rooms are very comfortable with everything you could need. The breakfast although expensive is amazing.Again it is organic and that is probably why it is expensive but it is...

We loved our visit here. Friendly and relaxed bar/ lounge area. Staff so kind and made you feel like you were the only guests. Delicious breakfast, comfy beds so what more could you ask for. We can highly recommend this boutique hotel. In addition its an easy walk from central station.

Lovely little hotel, 15 minute walk (with bags) from the central station. Staff are very friendly, the room itself was tasteful and cosy. Breakfast isn't included but there are plenty of cafes and restaurants just around the corner. They light stoves downstairs and there is a selection of coffee and herbal teas in the lounge (complementary). Wifi is excellent, even...

It's a cozy hotel with a nice organic & eco concept. But I must admit that we were disappointed when we got into our room, it was just tiny, in a sense that the 140cm double bed had to be next to the wall and I had to jump over my husband to get in and out. I didn't take...

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
