We have stayed at the Hotel Amager at 29 Amagerbrogade twice in a period of three years. This is a modest 2 star hotel wonderfully located on a main street with bus and metro stops close by that go directly to center city and to the airport. The rooms are clean, with bathrooms, and with TV's with extensive satellite converage....

Bus 2A and 5A stop in front of the entrance and take you to the city center in about 5 to 10 minutes (so walking is no problem either). Hotel is o.k. and clean, helpful staff.. Breakfast is basic.

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend. It is in the suburb of Amager which has a direct bus link to the airport as well as a metro station with quick access to the city centre. The hotel has a bar on the ground floor which serves breakfast and snacks during the day. The rooms are a little old fashioned...

First the pros for Amager Hotel 1. Good location - pleasant 10 - 15 minute walk into town 2. Frequent buses into town and to airport from bus stops outside the hotel 3. Very friendly/typically Danish jokey staff though there never seemed though there never seemed to be more than 2 of them. 4. Rear rooms are quiet - not...

A well run friendly hotel that is relaxing and easy going, nicely located for the city centre yet away from the hustle and bustle. Good variety at breakfast and as much as you like, have stayed here many times.

I had a great time at the hotel... It is very central, has a good crowd and serves a nice little breakfast.

Staying in Amager

Neighbourhood Profile
In the eastern part of this neighbourhood, visitors will discover Amager Strandpark, a beach area which has become increasingly popular. It’s only a 30 minute bicycle ride or a 10 minute Metro trip away from the city center. Only a few hundred yards inland, some of the most creative musicians, artists, and writers in Copenhagen are occupying some of the old storage houses and production facilities. The western part is one of Copenhagen's most rapidly evolving areas, here you’ll find international architecture of the highest rank, the state of the art TV-Byen (the Danish pendant to BBC), a golf course as well as Copenhagen's best (and tiniest) ice bar.
