I've stayed as a family for 5 days. Generally we were quite satisfied and happy with our hotel choice. It is quite close to metro station, only 10min. by walk, also close to the market area where you can find someting to eat. Our rooms did not have any proper view but not a matter since we did not stay...

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay here with us at Hotel Kong Arthur, and glad that you liked our breakfast, which we pay a lot attention to in order to keeping up with new opportunities for instance better bread, if a new bakery opens, or more organic produce etc. Regarding room sizes: We have rooms of 7 categories,...

We really enjoyed staying at this friendly boutique hotel. Location: the hotel is right across from the lakes, and set a little bit off the street so that it feels private. We decided to stay here instead of closer to Nyhavn and the "central" tourist area and I'm glad we did. Room: the bed was very comfortable and the room...

We are so happy that you liked it here! Perhaps you are right about the barebone bathrooms. Our bathrooms are quite simple. That’s the Scandinavian way. In regards of our toiltries, we may update the selection with a shower gel. I am glad you appreciated our front desk. They are there for our guests, and they will offer their advice,...

This hotel has a lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful. The reception and bar area is welcoming. You can have a free glass of wine or beer between 5 and 6 every day which is a nice end to a day's sightseeing. As well as the comfortable seating inside, there's a courtyard for warm evenings. Our room was...

Thank you so much for your kind words! We also think our courtyards are a major benefit of Hotel Kong Arthur, especially during summer when they offer a calm relaxing place, as well as a pleasant location for enjoying the breakfast meal. The renovation of the building towards Norre Sogade is normally not causing any noise nuisance. At this point...

We spent 2 days at this hotel. I had booked a superior room direct with the hotel. At Reception we were told that as we had booked direct they were upgrading up to a spa room, which entitled us entry to the spa. We were given room 373. The room was very hot (probably because we were in the spa...

Thank you for reviewing us! We are very sorry you didn’t like our spa rooms. Maybe the spa style just isn’t of your liking. All rooms have cupboards though, but perhaps it wasn’t as large as you expected. People have different tastes in regards of how they like their bacon fried, and I think that in Denmark, we fry our...

I booked this hotel back in February. I have alway wanted to go to Copenhagen, but wasn't 100% sure what hotel to stay in. It was between Kong Arthur, The Admiral and Scandic Palace. My husband was swinging towards Kong Arthur, then my cousin whom been to Copenhagen recommend to go to Kong Arthur, where she stayed. So we decided...

We are so glad you liked Copenhagen as well as our hotel. We think we are very fortunate to be situated at a quiet place right in the melting pot, and we are really glad to experience the way most visitors enjoy their stay in Copenhagen. It’s so nice to read about you arrival. That’s the way we want it...

This is a difficult review because this hotel has potential. I would rate it between 2 and three points right now. After a long research of hotels in Copenhagen I finally decided on the Kong Arthur. I booked 2 junior suites (#579 and #581). I really wanted to love the Kong Arthur, but sadly I didn't. For many different reasons....

Thank you for your very thorough review. We are of course very sorry that your expectations wasn’t met, and that you didn’t appreciate our junior suites. Our bathrooms are designed as a typically Copenhagen bathroom. Many of our foreign guests are not accustomed to this style. The latest renovation took place 5 years ago. Of course, hotels are exposed to...

The guide book lists this hotel as expensive and Copenhagen is supposed to be expensive but this is a reasonably priced four star hotel and they upgraded us to a suite with mezzanine bedroom and a jacuzzi bath! Excellent breakfast although a bit pricey and wasn't included in the booking price. Good location which enabled us to be able to...

My wife and I along with another couple and my parents just finished a six day stay here. It fully surpassed my expectations. Good clean rooms with bathrooms, great location, close enough to walk into the heart of the city without the bustle. Helpful and happy staff. Will be happy to stay again.

What is see is not what you get. My feeling is that the receptionists' behavior was quite deceitful. After a very long flight from New York, at the reception desk I was asked if I wanted to stay in their 'new building' across the backyard instead of the main building. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Kong Arthur is situated right between the beautiful inner lakes of Copenhagen and the buzzing downtown, only 15 min. from the airport by metro. The style is exclusive and modern with a hint of medieval - we call it a mix of rustic and chic. The atmosphere is cozy and informal: A lit fireplace, comfy sofas, pillows in the window sill, a stack of books on the shelves, beautiful courtyards adorned with green plants, cobbles and a unique peacefulness. ... more   less
