Very good old fashioned place with the modern service and fashion food. Nice staff, perfect kitchen. Close to the Kings casttle, close to the famous fishgirl, close to the port, close to the restaurants square. Center of the city. Wood and old metal in the interior. Fine, excellent for business, family and romantic stay!!!

The hotel is conveniently located 2 blocks from the main restaurant/pier area of the city and about a 10 minute walk to the pedestrian shopping street. Ten minute walk to the subway/train station that will also connect to airport. Unfortunately the rooms are dated, small and a little dirty, disappointing considering the per night cost. We did have a room...

The room was nice, hotel a little walk away from the main streets, but you can hear everyone else in the other rooms. Dated bathrooms but the room I got have a mini balcony and had a little view. Over all its is expensive for what it is.

I stayed here on business for 3 nights mid-week, with mostly business travellers and a few tourists. The building itself is really interesting, the rooms were small (even though I had been upgraded) but sufficient for my needs. The bathrooms were dated but functional, beds comfortable (but again, with the European bed set up with a double made from two...

On arrival we were upgraded to a room with a mezzanine bedroom. As we were on the 6th floor we had a good view of the cities turrets and Amalienborg Palace. We did not eat in the restaurant but as the hotel is in walking distance of the Nyhavn bars it easy to find somewhere. The hotel is not too...

The hotel and the location is good. The problem is the you can hear everything that happens in the rooms around you. People having sex, phone ringing and toilets being flushed. We stayed here on a Saturday and it seemed like the whole hotel turned into a night club. People were running in the hall banging on all the doors....

Stayed here for 3 nights and thought it was wonderful. Room much more spacious than expected and very comfortable. Hotel is in a great location close to all the main sights. Would definitely return here.

The Admiral is a fantastic Hotel. The location is close to Nyhaven canal area, the royal winter residence and other attractions. The hotel itself is a converted 18th century warehouse and retains much of it's character with beams running through the rooms. The rooms by European standards are quite spacious. It's a comfortable stay. Staff were top notch and very...

The location in and of itself is worth staying at this hotel! Right on the water near great sites. i.e. Nyhavn, Stroget, Copenhagen Opera House etc. The hotel is not bad, very reasonable... Don't expect the Ritz or anything of that caliber, it's merely standard and decent... But again for the location it's definitely the place to stay. Additionally, I...

Admiral is a nice hotel located just by the sea front. Make sure you get a room facing that way. The rooms are a little worn, but nice and cosy. Great location to see the sites and within walking distance to many attractions.

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty. ... more   less
