We elected to stay here based on reading some positive reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. Located less than 100m from Central Station, 10min by train from airport, the Nebo is small, personal, and comfortable. Reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Despite our early morning arrival, our room was available. Our room was small, but comfortable for two,...

I was booked in at the Nebo. I knew it was cheap so was not expecting luxury. However, I took one look at my room and walked straight back out. It was tiny, dark, dingy, manky sink in the corner of the room and a woven throw which had seen better days (the sort my Nan used to have) over...

I stayed at the Hotel Nebo September 14th-16th and 19th and 20th, 2010 in their "economy" rooms-their cheapest rooms, very small with shared bath. First let me point out all the great things about staying at the Hotel Nebo: 1) Excellent location, steps away from the main Train Depot and within walking distance to many of the sights in Copenhagen....

After disembarking the long train from Gothenburg, 5 minutes walk and we were at the hotel. It is located very close to the central station, but also in the red light district!! The reception staff were very welcoming and showed us to our room on the 4th floor. The room faced a courtyard and not the main street so thankfully...

Nice hotel overall, but since it is close to the red light district it can get very noisy outside! The rooms are small but clean. The breakfast is very good. I would stay there again, but ask for a room that does not face the street.

This hotel is an excellent choice for any budget traveler. The rooms and shared shower facilities were kept clean, the staff were friendly and hospitable, and they served a lovely breakfast. I suppose my only complaint would be that their coffee left something to be desired but, then again, it's Copenhagen, cafes abound!

The Hotel Nebo is not a fancy place to stay. The rooms are basic and the door insulation is poor, but we slept better here than anywhere else on our trip. We were in room 431, up high and in the back. The location of the hotel can't be beat. It is directly behind the central train station on a...

I stayed at this very basic and cheap hotel for one night in August 2010. I didn't realize that when I arrived in Copenhagen the Gay-Pride festival was on, so there was not much to choose from for a cheap one night stay. You get what you pay for and if you can live with a very small room with...

Shabby, shared bathrooms, noisy as my room faced the street, pay by the minute WiFi, and you had to leave your key with reception which can be irritating. But I wasn't too fussed by the down trodden state of the hotel. It was very cheap and all I needed was a place to rest my head and a shower in...

Stayed here for 4 nights and would broadly agree with most of the positive remarks made by other reviewers i.e. cheap by Copenhagen standards; basic but clean; ideally located; obliging staff; good value breakfast. I had an economy room however which was located at the front of the hotel (most of the singles seem to be) and the street noise...

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
