The room was clean and warm, the breakfast was amazing, the staff were helpful, there's free wifi, and it was perfectly close to the central train station. It was also very close to Tivoli which was closed for winter while I was there. A friend and I stayed there when I got in from LA at around 9PM. The late...

Me and my boyfriend stayed here last week on our first trip to Copenhagen. This was a surprise christmas gift. The hotel is in a great location! Right next to the Copenhagen central train station and only a 10-15 minute train journey to the airport (36DKK one way). Hotel is a 5 minute walk to Tivoli unfortunately it was closed...

Hi, thank you for this review. I am glad you enjoyed our services and our staff. Your room was an economy double, which is also a small double room. I can always recommend Superior rooms which come with a king size bed and more floor space. Our small rooms are a bit more basic and smaller than our regular rooms...

Downstairs in the reception and restaurant was great. Staff were friendly, attentive, happy to help. Had maps, provided directions, recommendations, was great. Wine hour was great too as it was soo expensive to buy wine in Copenhagen. Breakfast was great too. Excellent quality. Location was great for centre, you can walk around most places from there which was super handy....

Hi, thank you for your review. My colleagues offer guests an upgrade to our newer renovated rooms which cost a small upgrade fee. Our regular rooms will be renovated next year, and unfortunately there are some spots created from cleaning products in the rooms. The carpets are cleaned daily but unfortunately we cannot remove these spots and all this will...

The hotel is an old one in a very good location to the train station and the airport by train. The hotel is under renovation and we stayed in the old part and I can see why they are renovating. However, the room was clean but basic. AS a stopover for a night or two it is excellent. For a...

Hi, thank you for your review and for staying with us. I am glad you enjoyed your stay, and yes - we do have some rooms which are renovated and these can be upgraded to for a small fee. Our breakfast is fully organic and we have invested in the quality of the products. Also all kinds of special coffee...

I stayed here for 3 nights on 19th Feb with my friend. The hotel is located perfectly outside central train station and only a 5/10min walk into the centre. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Wine hour 5pm-6pm was a very nice touch with free wine for the guests. It did create a lovely atmosphere where other guests...

Hi, thank you very much for your kind words about your stay. I am very glad you enjoyed your stay and that we can welcome you back in the future. I would recommend you to try the hotel in the summer time. Maybe a room on the 3rd floor with a balcony and a view of amazing Copenhagen. Hope to...

We stayed in the renovated rooms, so I ca speak only about these. You pay 100 DKK to upgrade but it is worth it. The new rooms are really nice and cozy. There is no noise although you are literally at the central station. Breakfast is really, really good - organic food, juices etc. For 1-2 days stay to discover...

Hi, thank you very much for this review. I am glad you did not experience any noise. But as you mention, the location is amazing both for transportation and for sight seeing. You should try Copenhagen in the Spring/Summer time. It is truly amazing.

Had to stay a couple of hours in Copenhaegen for a flight stop over. It take 15min from and to the airport and trains run very regularly. I arrived late and left very early. Did not use any facility beside the bed and shower. I guess the price was attractive compared to sleeping at the airport. Positive note: the staff...

Dear Michael, Thank you for staying with us and for this review. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. The carpets in the rooms are unfortunately stained with bleach products from the old company, and these cannot be removed. So these will be changed during our renovation in 2018. But I will ask our technician...

We had a great stay here. Location is excellent, breakfast as well. Do upgrade to their newly renovated rooms. Water pressure on the 3rd floor is not great. I'd return and recommend this hotel to anyone.

The big selling point for this hotel is the location beside (literally) the Central Station which means you are only a short walk from your plane via a 15 minute train ride! Being beside a bust train station means there will be s certain amount of associated noise especially on one side. It did not affect us as we slept...

Hi, Thank you for reviewing us and for staying with us. We have chosen to keep the original design of the hotel and therefore it might looks different than other hotels. But I am sorry about the lamp. I will look into this room and see what I can do to upgrade it to its glory state. thank you.

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Astoria is located as a large train in extension to Copenhagen's Central Station. It is positioned very central in a living area with a short distance to the metropolitan areas in the Meetpacker Destrict and Copenhagen Center. There are approximately 100 meters to Tivoli and the City Hall Square is right around the corner. The airport is only a 12 minutes ride away. The hotel is a 3-star hotel built in 1934 in the functionalist style typical for the architectural era and is therefore popular among people interested in architecture. We have kept many of the original parts inside the hotel.
