Stayed for three nights late June. Great location for a walk-about in lovely Copenhagen. Close to both Nyhavn and Strøket. Serviceminded staff. A bit old-fashioned with dining room with leather chairs eg. Morten Wolmer

Dear Morten, Thank you for writing about your stay at Hotel Opera on TripAdvisor. I agree that Hotel Opera is a warm and cosy "an old-fashioned" English styled hotel with history and character. Once again thank you for submitting your comments. Best regards, Robert Thomsen

Location is perfect if you are on low budget. Thin walls ( you hear your neighbours). Floors squeeking, expensive parking (25 Euro) per day, terrible breakfast. The stuff for the sandwiches. like cheese, meat and so on was so warm that it was sweating. No aircon in the rooms or restaurant. Some guests tried to open the windows at breakfast...

We spent three nights at Hotel Opera in June. It's an older facility, with a few loose threads about the furniture, etc. But it feels and is run like an old British hotel, and I mean that in a very positive way. Very helpful, friendly staff and the building, the staff and the clientele all combined to give us a...

During the Copenhagen Fashion Week we've spent two nights at the Hotel Opera. Actually it is not a luxurious hotel, But; it is comfortable and attractive, the staff were very nice and helpful. Our "junior suit" was smartish and sizeable. Breakfast buffet, which was included, was very rich and the location was very central to almost everything. Two minutes walk...

My mother and I stayed here for 2 nights. It was a nice hotel. The room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was superb - lots of options, even for a vegetarian. The staff were always friendly and helpful - they gave us directions and arranged for a taxi. It was in a nice area of the city as...

Located right by Kongens Nytorg (including all the contruction going on there unfortunately, but it cannot be heard from the hotel ... fortunately) and 2 minutes walk from Nyhavn, the location is the greatest asset of this hotel. Main shopping street "Stroget" starts 2 minutes from the hotel, and follow it all the way to City Hall Square and Tivoli...

The hotel Opera reminds me of an old British drawing room, comfy but the leather is beginning to crack in places, and the upholstered chairs in the dining room are soiled and stained. That being said, the place has the ambience, as one travel writer described it, of Agatha Christie's "Orient Express." So if you want atmosphere and are willing...

Staying at this hotel made me feel like I was in the heart of Paris. People (especially Americans) expecting huge rooms and jacuzzis should not book at this charming old school-hotel. We had booked months ahead a low prized 2 nights "mini-holiday" in which our two girls aged 4 and 7 should stay in our standard room. The receptionist told...

We stayed at the Hotel Opera on Saturday 10 July in the middle of a heatwave and unfortunately the hotel doesn't have air conditioning. Luckily our room was on the ground floor at the back of the hotel and was reasonably cool, though it was a strange shape and you couldn't see the TV from the bed. Also the bathroom...

I stayed here just for one night recently and booked the cheapest single room. I was upgraded to a superior room, as were the couple in front of me when I checked in.
