First up, delighted how easy it was to get through the well organised airport, through to the heavily staffed train departures section and then the ease to get to the hotel. As an experienced traveller, I found this to be one of the easiest journeys ever so well played to all in Tourism – UK take a look and learn!!

As for the hotel – great views on Tivoli Gardens and of the City so worth the extra cash for the location. Rooms fine, Shower, powerful, nice and hot etc so no issues.

As for the City – we used the Hop on/off City Tour bus so did all the Tourist things – again hassle free.

Tivoli Gardens – we went as Christmas for the lights and they were great. Plenty of places to eat…..but don’t feel pressurised to eat within as was ok at best.

Top tip – as Beer very expensive, don’t go to 7 11 across the road but instead go inside the local supermarket (turn left outside the hotel and it’s the next left) as Beer half price compared to the branded shops.

Top tip – don’t buy your return ticket to the Airport via Train too early as only valid for 2 hrs – there are loads of trains going so no need to buy early.

I have had the pleasure of three stays in this hotel over the last year or so (with my husband and with my sister). We stayed on the 19th floor and 17th floor in a corner room with panoramic views of Tivoli and the city. I must say we had a five star experience each time in this hotel, with its very stylish foyer, iconic stairway and beautiful bedrooms, air conditioning, and facilities. Very comfortable beds. It is ideally located near Central Station and Tivoli . One can walk into the city centre (10 mins) and enjoy everything Copenhagen City has to offer. The breakfasts are sumptious with a wide variety of food on the menu. Fantastic dining experience. I have to say the Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help us enjoy our time there. A special mention for the staff of the Cafe Royal, where we dined in the mornings & evenings. Particular thanks to Adrian, the Barman who looked after us and was so pleasant and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We will be back.

We stayed here overnight in September, having picked up a hire car at the airport. The hotel parking was convenient and there was no question we'd be charged for extra time if we went over the 24 hour period. On arrival we were immediately upgraded to a double-aspect room with views for miles around. Then upgraded again to one of the Arne Jacobsen rooms - so stylish, chic and comfortable it was hard to go out. The staff were particularly friendly and helped us with sightseeing recommendations. The hotel is in the absolute centre of the city so you can walk everywhere. Tivoli is across the road and you can explore the Meatpackers district and find trendy restaurants. It's our second stay here and hopefully won't be our last. We've travelled the world and Copenhagen is our favourite city. Any Brits considering a post-pandemic escape would do well to come to this friendly city where you never run out of things to do.

Our stay at the Royal is the real meaning of luxury and Exceptional service.

We booked this hotel last minute since our previous hotel was having several issues and what a great choice.

Team it is super serviced minded and always going above and beyond.

Housekeeping super attentive and every time we left the room we could see that they have been cleaning when we returned.

Breakfast restaurant it is a little busy if you come late in the morning but they had great service, food selection and the team it’s super sweet and helpful. Their coffee it is very nice and we could heard that they support a local roasters when we asked about the coffee.

We will be coming very soon in September since I never tried this hotel and there is so much to discover here. Art and story in every corner.

Loving the design and location.

Staff friendly and helpful.

Asked for a room on higher floor via email, never heard back, bad customer service, but receptionist still managed to accommodate my request and thank god for that, my room at the “back” of the hotel still couldn’t save me from noice made by a guy busking in the street, playing “music” 14 hours a day, the SAME song none stop!! It should be stopped by SAS Royal and Nimb, not ok with the room price.

Rooms beautifully renovated but last time the mirror in the room looked like it was cleaned in butter and this time the shower screen looks like it was never cleaned after the last guest and dust several days thick on the telephone and side table, cleaners nice but not up to a 5 star.

Breakfast, not a huge selection but nice quality and well presented.

Was planning a room service club sandwich, 185 dkk or something like that is ok, but don’t put a delivery charge of 50 dkk on top, build it into the price, it’s silly as I can’t chose to go down and collect it. I went for hotdogs and chocolate milk by central station instead and it was lovely.

Was surprised to find a note, explaining that water coming in the windows when raining, to find a super old, smelly and disgusting public toilet on lower ground by reception, no turn down service, storage space in the room so small, that I on my own in a double room for 1 night was struggling, room not cleaned to the expected level for 2nd stay in a row, no answer to my email (basic curtesy), too small breakfast buffet for a Sunday brunch, would have expected like in other 5 star hotels much more.

All in all, I totally understand when tourists say it’s not a 5 star hotel, I agree it’s not up to pare and I’m surprised they don’t fall into the category 4 stars.

Would I stay again? Yes but only due to great location and my passion for danish design, this only for a night or two due to lack of storage in the room, only at reduced room rate as full price is way too much for what you get.

I would wish the manager, would visit other 5 star hotels and see what guests expect of a 5 star hotel.

We stayed at the hotel while celebrating New Year in Copenhagen with friends. There were 10 of us all staying at the hotel. The location of the hotel is the first thing that struck us when we came out of the station. It was literally across the road from the station and a stones throw from Tivoli. We crossed the road and were there. Later, when we headed out, we were just a few minutes from the main shopping area and pedestrian precincts which take you down to Nyhavn. The staff at reception were so helpful and we were all allocated Tivoli view rooms. Thank you. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. Great hot shower. The complimentary water was a nice touch and the Nespresso machine was a winner for those who could work out how to use it. We enjoyed the popular free cookies in the foyer. The breakfast buffet was excellent, great choice, fresh and with loads of healthy options. You were also able to order something from a table menu and despite it being exceptionally busy we had omelettes and pancakes made for us. Slight wait but worth it, they were delicious. On New Year’s Eve itself we spent time and dined in Tivoli before they held their formal firework display at 11pm. After that it was clear everyone headed for the main squares and what an exhilarating, alarming (for some of us) experience to see our Danish friends set off 000s of rockets, fireworks in the streets. We stood underneath it until the bells, knowing we were no more than five minutes away from sanctuary and watched the skies over Copenhagen light up for the next couple of hours from our friends’ room at the hotel. The price of drinks in the bar, which is nice and relaxed, is expensive but not unexpected for Copenhagen. Thank you Radisson for making our New Years’ experience in Copenhagen one to remember. If we return to this wonderful, wonderful city we would stay at the Radisson and meantime recommend the hotel to anyone.

Location was nice - very central. Room was very spacious and had a great view of the city skyline. Definitely more of a 4* hotel. Staff weren’t very friendly, didn’t smile and seemed like they didn’t care. We were at the hotel at 1pm due to the torrential rain outside. We were not allowed to check in early unless we paid £40 and housekeeping would be asked to prioritise cleaning our room. Asked to check in at 2:30pm and it seemed like such a chore to the man working at reception. Breakfast was not included in our stay and we were charged £65 for a buffet breakfast for one day. Breakfast buffet selection was ok - nothing special and definitely not worth £65. Overall our stay was ok but unfortunately overpriced and overrated.

We spent 8 days at this hotel and it has many excellent features. The location is excellent for touring both within Copenhagen as well as outside the city. It is close to the Central Railway Station, the Metro and S-trains. The restaurant, Issei, is excellent with creative, delicious Peruvian-Japanese fusion cuisine. While it may sound odd, it is wonderful and restaurant staff are delightful. The breakfast is quite good as well, but there are many cafes nearby if you don't want a large breakfast every day. The reception staff and concierges were very helpful as well and made very good recommendations for restaurants for dinners. The major limitation of the hotel is that most of the rooms "Collection Room" are small and have almost no storage space for clothing. This would be fine for the business traveler, but if you are on vacation and staying for more than a few days, there is no place to put your clothing and hardly any room for your valises. We were offered two different "Collection Rooms", but both were small, cramped and had little room for our clothing. In the end, we upgraded to a Suite, which was lovely and had adequate room for what we had brought along. Of course it was more expensive, but we didn't want to ruin our vacation by not having a nice room to stay in. In the end we had a wonderful vacation, including at the hotel, but I felt that other travelers should be aware of this one limitation of this otherwise excellent hotel.

We treated ourselves to a longer stay in a special hotel than we would normally. This was because we wanted feel what it was like to stay at this iconic mid-century hotel which was designed by the great Arne Jacobsen. It was fun to see his chairs (Egg, Swan, Drop) around the hotel foyer and rooms. Our bathroom and bedroom were larger than we expected. The view from out 17th floor room was terrific, with clear views across to Malmo in Sweden on some days, but always a great scene across The Tivoli and surrounding buildings and movement in the streets. We ordered breakfast with our stay too – very surprised at the variety, if only you could sample it all. The issues were that the large double bed form (2 single beds) means that you keep rolling back to the centre of your own 'half bed', even if you prefer to sleep closer together; wanting to be eco-friendly, we hung up our towels each morning, but they were changed every day anyway; coffee (Nespresso) and tea facilities are provided, but they are placed in a tight spot and if your just want to have ordinary coffee (instant), then there is none provided, and not much milk provided either; the bar fridge is sparely stocked.

Overall I am and will remain a loyal patron of Radisson. But as noted in the survey, the housekeeping requires a strong nudge to improve its performance. In addition, room service at times fall below par, but that may be due to staff shortages.

I do not know if there are different prices for adults and children at the Radisson. The price for an adult was 270 DKK or about US$37. There are alternatives for breakfast near by. There is a cafe next to the Visitor Center across the street from the hotel as well as an Espresso cafe diagonally across from the hotel. Food is very expensive in Copenhagen.
