We recently stayed at the Aithon Palace apartments in Vathy, Ithaca. We experienced amazing hospitality from the owners Elisavet and Maria. They were incredibly charming, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay with great recommendations of restaurants and beaches, booking places to visit and taxis as required. Maria gave us herbs and vegetables from her garden and Elisavet even dyed my hair for free! Our apartment was kept spotlessly clean and was tidied & cleaned every day with fresh towels daily. The view from the apartment over the bay of Vathy was spectacular (see photo). The pool area was also always kept exceptionaly clean. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Great combination of relaxing environment with stunning view from room and pool, just 3 minutes from the center of Vathy, by car. Very very clean rooms and great hospitality! l will definitely visit it again. I highly recommend it!

Wonderful location with lovely, kind and smiley hosts. Super clean, magnificent view of Vathy. Definately recommended while pool is a plus if you want to have a short stop before visiting the beaches. Apartments are equiped with fridge, oven etc in case you want to cook inside and enjoy the view along with a bottle of wine!

Hands down the best place to stay in Ithaca. The view is absolutely spectacular, overlooking Vathy's bay. The staff is so friendly and helpful (marked down all the best spots for us to hit up on a map and how to get there). I woke up in the morning to find small bouquet of hand picked flowers on our patio table. Loved every minute staying here, and will hopefully make it back again and again and again. Thank you for your amazing hospitality. 🌺🌸💙☀️

We went to aithon palace in Itahki in June. A very lovely place, Elisabeth and her mother are very kind and lovely. You feel very welcome. The appartements are beautifull and well maintained. The view is amazing. It's quite and the beds are good. Fully airconditioned. If I go back to ITHAKI some day I will definetly stay here again.

The view from the balcony is spectacular! The room was very big, very clean and cosy, with a nice big kitchen to cook, with fresh sheets and towels everyday and last but not least...Wi-Fi! The location is fantastic, very quite - a great opportunity to relax and sleep well at night. I enjoyed sitting at the balcony a lot, specially at night, enjoying the view of the island. You can enjoy the view swimming at the pool, as well, which, by the way, was always perfectly clean. Elisavet was always welcoming me with a huge, genuine smile, discrete as needed, very friendly and always willing to help. A great person. Exceeded my expectations by far! I definitely recommend it and already booked for next summer!

It was very very nice holidays in Aithon Palace. Accomodation and rooms are perfect, clean and comfortable. Wonderfull view to Vathy and sea. Very quite area and close to beaches (5-10 mins by car). Elisabeth, mum and cat were hosting us on high level. Looking forward to come again next year!!!!! Zoran & Jelena

We have just returned after a wonderful and memorable week. Elizabeth and her mother couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Everything was spotless and nothing was too much to ask for. Wonderful views and lovely pool with sunbeds. Will definitely be returning very soon.

We stayed for a week in Penelope apartment and it was fabulous. Everything that all the previous reviewers have said is true, fabulous views, extremely comfortable (very comfy bed) and charming helpful hosts who kept the place utterly spotless. Everything is first class from the apartment & terrace to the pool area & barbeque facilities. Elisabeth & her mother were lovely, friendly hosts which makes all the difference to a holiday. So after you have booked it make sure that you Go to Odysseus's palace after having seen the displays in the middle of Stavros & calling at the archeological museum between Stavros & the palace. This is a must on Ithaca. Visit the bar at the bottom of the hill, by the trees for their homemade puddings - the best. Go to the butchers in Vathy (called Meat market ) & buy their burgers & lamb kebabs & sausage & have a barbeque. Their things are delicious. Go to the Spathes bakery. This is the best cake shop EVER! The choice is superb & everything is fabulous. They do ice cream too. Hire a boat for the day from Ithaca Boats Boat Rental. Half the price of anything on Kefalonia & a much better boat. Great fun tootling round the island & swimming off the boat. We really liked the beaches at Mnimata & Dexa. Enjoy!…
