A Jewel. We travelled via Simpsons for this marvellous 7 day Holiday. They were very good in the UK and there. Our only gripe was the Car supplied. Ensure you get a reasonable good one if you are driving. From the Airport to the resort takes about 2 hours. This is mainly due to the route you would normally take...

We spent 11 days at Ranzo Ionio and we loved it! The beautiful stone houses and appartements, the pool, the delicious home made food, but most of all the warm welcome from the family. Ranzo Ionio is in the North of Kefalonia and we think that is the best part of the Island. Not so touristic, nice small villages and...

We normally dine at the harbour in Fiskardo but were recommended to try Ranzo Ionio off the beaten track at Tzamarelata Near Maganos - about 15 minutes drive from Fiskardo A family run restaurant with beautiful views and sunsets Very good authentic Greek food using their own / locally sourced produce cooked by the father Jiannis in traditional wooden fired...

I stayed at Ranzo Ionio, set high up on the hill close to the township of Fiscardo during the first half of July. It is a gem of a place owned and run by a gorgeous Greek family who have developed the land for 30 years. Father Janis is in charge of the outdoor wood fired ovens which cook all...

Where do i begin, this is our second visit and i can say without doubt that the food that the is cooked on the wood grill/oven is the best i have eaten in Greece. We have tried Fiskardo but the home produced vegetables and locally sourced meat and fish win every time. This family run Taverna makes your visit special...

We originally came here for a massage, but we were so impressed by the friendly and relaxed atmosphere that we booked dinner at the on site taverna. Food was simple but high quality using local ingredients cooked in a traditional wood fired oven. No menus, the waiter tells you what they have and Yiannis the chef will show you what...

Very warm welcome and lovely location, just spent a week at this small complex of apartments/cottages (14 in all I think). A mix of relaxation by the pool and exploring the island - which is beautiful. The site is owned and run by a lovely family and the on site taverna is excellent! All food is home cooked and delicious,...

If you're staying in the North of Cephalonia then try and make an effort to visit this restaurant as it's a delight. A little more expensive than the norm but worth every Euro. It's within a small complex in Tzameralata that's five minutes from Maganos. No menu...no prices...recommend that you drive down during the day and book. Great views over...

This place has it all: stunning views of the Ionian Sea, clean apartments and cottages, a lovely hospitable family to run this small village and excellent organic food from a wood oven. Our family of 4 are staying here as write this, 2 adults and 2 small children. We have the 'old' cottage, which was recently renovated, at our disposal....

We came here on a recommendation from a friend in Athens. We were told it was excellent, and it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious and most of the ingredients are organically-grown in the owner's allotment. Everything we had was absolutely authentic good Greek cooking and delicious: simple but with great tastes. The family who run the place are all...
