We stumbled on this place while walking around the town. The lady (owner) was lovely when we asked about a room. She let us have a look and it was exactly what we were looking for. It was not expensive and not far from the main car park in the old town. We left the car overnight and I think...

We stayed here for four nights. The location in the old town is excellent and the owner, Yannis is very attentive, helpful and friendly. It is great value for money : we paid sixty Euros per night for the room and breakfast, served in an atmospheric courtyard. At the time of writing, Yannis has problems with email so it is...

I stayed here with my friends for 10 nights and loved the location, set in the narrow streets of the old town. The walled garden was full of all the essential colours and fragrance of the Mediterranean. The room was clean with all appliances and a great breakfast was enjoyed every morning under the fruit trees in the garden. But...

The Pension Castello and bar Is situated in the Old Town (closed to traffic) just 8 minutes walk from the city car park. Very friendly, family run. Flowery internal courtyard where an ample breakfast will be served on sunny mornings. Can recommend. Rooms are clean, though plain, and have security boxes. Balconies overlook the courtyard so are not private. The...

I stayed in Pension Castello during August 2013 for 2 weeks. It was enjoyable and the whole experience was excellent. Booking the room was straight forward as I only had to email Pension Castello at castelo2@otenet.gr . The rooms were clean and comfortable, the garden looked pretty and the staff were friendly. I particularly liked the breakfast in the garden....

We stayed here for 8 nights recently. It was absolutely magic. The owner, Yiannis, and his mum were extremely friendly, genuine and warm hosts. Our stay was a much more pleasant and memorable experience than you normally get in a larger hotel. The room was spotless, with decent air con and a lovely, simple breakfast served in the pretty, peaceful...

This delightful pension has a lovely garden where breakfast is served. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the lemon trees in the courtyard. Janis is a wonderful host who shouted us a glass of wine in the courtyard on our first night there. We wish we could have stayed longer. Janis helped us plan our route to Chania with detours...

I was in Crete for a week and stayed here. It was central for everything and I really enjoyed the surroundings. Excellent breakfast in the garden most mornings. My room was very comfortable with a balcony, which I enjoyed looking out from. Friendly family place, excellent value and I do intent to visit again.

We spent two weeks here, in this converted 16th Century town house. The rooms were clean pleasant, although we found the beds a bit hard, and had breakfast in the garden every day beneath the lemon trees. The family (Maria, her husband Janis and son Janis) were very friendly and helpful, suggesting good places to eat and interesting places to...
