Everything was perfect, in terms of cleanliness, location, price and especially for the kindness and courtesy of our host, Joannis. I recommend it to everybody. Crete is fantastic and with Afroditi you will have the best experience.

Yannis is amazing in many aspects especially going the extra mile on service. Came and found us in our hire car, then helped with the parking near by (actually took us there). Nothing was too much trouble. Well done Yannis and hopefully see you soon on our next travels.

The aftoditi hotel is a great choice - attractive price, best location, and mainly - you will get to know Yannis, which is the owner and the best host I have ever met. He was so nice with the local tips (ask him about the Petra Taverna, which was great), and arranged everything for us with a great smile. Don’t hesitate to book your stay there. You will love it!

Afroditi is a great place to stay in Rethymno. It's situated in the old town and not far from the sea. The room is very comfortable and cosy. You feel like not in the hotel, but just in a friend's home. Yannis is a very hospitable and friendly person. His attitude and treat excite. Fresh fruits are always provided, cleaning is everyday, air condition is working fine and saves you from the heat outside. Also Yannis can provide you anything that you need for a beach and swiming: sun hat, sun umbrella, rubber ring, towels. Afroditi hotel is a place that guarantee you fairy vacation in Rethymno!

Yes the hotel is situated nicely at the edge of the Old Town in 2nd row of the sea front.yes the owner is exceptionally friendly attentive and caring....I booked a so called maisonette apartment which was situated in a different building outside the hotels space. Around the corner 2 min away. This apartment was new, spacious and clean but had a very strange smell like a dead animal would lay somewhere. It had a huge terrace with view to the cathedral square and this was the problem. Atthis square the Young crowd of the town is gathering from midnight til the morning hours with screaming, chatting, shouting and playing techno beats with self carried speakers. It felt like a nice big party for them but did not let me sleep one minute even with ear plugs. It was not a weekend. I’ve been told this happens there every night. At 4:00 a.m. they finished and I found some sleep and woke up at 7:00 with noise of hammering and drilling as in the next building there is construction work going on. I complained tothe owner who offered a room change but twice so I had to stay 3 nights all in different rooms. The other rooms were in the hotels building. They were nice, although the last one was a bit cramped with lots of furnitures in the sleeping room. Alps there: as the sea front is just ne next block all the pumping beats of the bars and clubs were audible and even there were youngsters chatting very loud in the street at 2:00. this dumped all my stay there, I had to pack bags every day and couldn’t get any relax. If you have a light sleep I would not recommend this place. To be fair the owner offered me a 15 % discount at the end and apologized.

I was there for 5 days. The price was lower due to pandemic so the quality of the room was way higher than I expected. It was clean, big, with kitchen and fridge full of fruits and drinks. Beach and taverns are really close, in the hotel you have sun umbrellas, slippers etc. But the most important is the most helpful and amazing owner. He will help you with everything if you ask, and I won't exaggerate if I say he is the most helpful person I ve ever met. I was in a hard situation because of my travel companion who was injured and was staying in the hospital. The owner helped us in every possible way and I am so grateful because of that. Not only the hotel is on its highest standards but all the people who work there. So it makes the stay very special and great. I would rate it with 10 out of 5.

The room was really lovely, fully equipped, and we loved the furniture and decorations. The host was very nice and helpful. The hotel is located at a very convenient spot in the old town and it's great to be in walking distance from all the shops, cafes and restaurants, even the castle. Overall a great hotel, highly recommended for a great stay in the beautiful city of Rethymnon.
