This was a lovely hotel. Very well updated, rooms very modern and spacious. The beach was a short block away and it was superb. The food here was great and the staff were very helpful, especially when we had to figure out how to get to the bus station and wanted a late checkout.

We stayed in Melrose from May 11 till May 18. Very nice hotel. The room was perfect and very clean. The staff was always friendly and ready to help. The breakfast is varied : Greek specialities and European breakfast : enough choice for everybody. The hotel is close to the beach and shops/restaurants and the old town. We immediately booked again when we came home. So we can only say : very recommendable hotel. Thank you, Melrose Hotel.

Fine Hotel nearby the beach. The old city and nice harbour are within walking distance and do have alot of shops and restaurants. The hotel staff is friendly and helpfull. Breakfast is very good and has lots of choices in foods.

Beautiful hotel, very clean and spacious rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Location is kinda good (really close to the beach) but the old town is a 20 minute walk. There are however really nice restaurants and cocktailbars nearby.

I saw the hotel at internet. It had 4*. I was not disappointed. I can give 5*. Very good price, room DZX 1 was realy pleasant and nice even for 3 persons. A bottle of wine as a welcome gift. Very clean place, friendly with great location. The pool, gym and spa nice and clean. The staff very kind, helpful and professional. (At the reception, in the restaurant and housekeeping.) Breakfast very delicius and rich. We could try many of Greek specialtes. It was awesome holiday.

The stuff was very kind. Very clean rooms. The breakfast was very delicius and there was a big variety of foods. The beach is about 100m from the hotel and near to the center. VFM hotel. I will visit it again!!!!!

After two years we came back to Melrose Hotel this summer. For us it was like returning to a hme place. It started with being recognized the second we entered the lobby ... continued with getting the same room as last time ... and went on with the great service, friendliness and kindness of everyone in the hotel. Especially in times like these it is great to stay in a hotel where you feel safe and cosy. We enjoyed every second in Rethymno and we are already looking forward for our next trip ...

Just had an amazing stay at this hotel. To start off we had a lovely welcoming at the reception, the upfront lady was so kind she even upgraded our room for a bigger one. As soon as we got to the room we were astonished by the cleanliness and the comfort. All the staff members were super friendly and always ready to give a hand, honestly they made our stay 10 times better. The breakfast was very diverse and fresh. The location is 10/10 perfect. We are all so pleased with this stay, we'll make sure to comeback next year.

Great location near beach, awesome breakfast, nice beds, clean room, friendly staff. I only missed more soundproof room as we hear all sounds from pool and restaurant and corridor at early morning and late night.
