Superb service with a warm welcome. I highly recommend this place. Restaurants and bar are near and it is quick and easy to access. The room are clean and in very good condition. You will love your stag at hotel Lena
This hotel is SO central and, at the time we were there, SO quiet. The room was quite spacious, and the bed comfortable. The shower room was small, but at 6'2" it was still not a problem for me and the shower was perfect (for it's intended use but maybe not if you're obese!) The staff were very friendy and helpful and someone was available 24hrs/day. We live on Crete, so are used to Greek hotels, and this is probably the best 'buget' hotel we have used. We will stay there again!
room clean. back street hotel, handy for one or two nights stopover but not if you want sea view with balcony. Very helpful staff. two mins from harbour and city centre. Not sure I need to wirte enough letter to get to 200
I chose Hotel Lena because I flew in very late at night so just needed somewhere close to the airport that was cheap and relatively comfy. Taxi cost €18 from airport. Location is amazing, right in the middle of all of it near the port so was great for a walk around and breakfast in the morning. There was no problem with me checking in so late - it was hot so the air con was appreciated! Facilities were basic but perfect and the kettle was a good surprise.
I stayed in this surprisingly very centrally-located budget hotel, for two nights, while making a day-trip to Santorini. All the staff, from the most friendly and helpful lady behind the reception, to the lady cleaning the rooms, to the very helpful gentleman doing the night reception, well exceeded my initial expectations. Highly recommended, indeed, a rather basic but very clean room in an apparently well-managed budget hotel, with warm and cheerful Cretan hospitality!.👌👌
I stayed here for two nights because I had to do some work in the museum. The room was small but nice, clean and quiet. You can reach everything by foot such as also harbour or bus station to the airport. If you don't want to pay extra for breakfast you will have a lot of choices for coffee and sandwiches/tiropitas in the neighborhood. Same applies for lunch and dinner.
As with a few other travelers, we were here for one night only, waiting for the ferry to santorini (of course). I took my group to see kazantzakis' grave (Zorba the Greek) and we had an excellent lunch at ippocampus (the seahorse); breezy lotion and reasonable prices -- with your raki coming at the end! If it is summer go by the main church and see if someone is doing a wedding. It is a little different. You will like it. For dinner we brought back some stuff from around town and ate in the hallway breakfast area. Simple. Enjoy your travels!
Hotel Lena is situated close to the heart of Heraklion down a few side streets. It was pretty easy to find and walkable from the ferry port area. It is situated in a residential area of the city, pretty safe to The rooms were a little basic but clean and tidy. The check in staff accommodating especially when I couldn't get wifi in my room. I had room only but you could purchase breakfast directly for €8. My shower cubicle flooded very time I showered making walking around the bathroom a bit of a puddle. My air conditioning also leaked. The jug had rust stains in it and I couldn't use it. The room had a mini fridge but no condiments. Otherwise I cannot complain to heavily this property was pretty cheap, safe and rooms cleaned, towels replaced every day.
As in the title, this hotel is perfect to start your visit in Heraklio center. The room was good, cleaned and not noisy. The management was fine. During the night you'll find always someone to open the door of the entrance. Only for the parking could be a problem but I was lucky every dsy
