Me and my friend spend 4 days at this hotel and it was an amazing stay the room was clean the staff were exceptionally helpful and attentive they assured us with booking cabs and recommending places to visit. Food was Devine and the roof top pool was so lush. Definitely recommend this to anyone Visiting Crete The hotel is nice a modern great food selection. Warning If you want to go to Malia every night the cab is €50 euros
This is at best a three star priced as a 5 star. We booked a room with harbour view and got a room with parking lot view, safe not working and the slot where you put the electronic card for the electricity was broken. After complaining we got a room with a partial view. No complementary water, anonimous toiletries, nothing what a 5 star hotel should provide. The receptionist did not inform us that we had to get the towels for the swimmingpool on the 6th floor from the reception! Swimmingpool completely unserviced, tables and chairs full of dirty glasses and plates never removed. Breakfast area with shortage of staff, same problem, tables filled with cutlery never removed... a shame.
Myself and my partner stayed here for a week. The hotel facilities were great and staff even better. Every employee was helpful and polite. The food was also lovely we particularly enjoyed the pastry selections at desert!. Unfortunately didn’t have enough time to go to the pool as we spent a lot of the time out exploring. We also were allowed to stay in the lounge and use facilities after our check out time which we were really appreciative for since our plane wasn’t til the evening. I would of given 5 stars but the view from our window let it done as it was just facing a wall.
I’m first time in this country. I’m working in air company and visiting a lot of countries. People looks very nice and friendly! Location is very good not far from the sea. Hotel staff very good. Room accessories and tea-coffee set fantastic. But view from my room leaves to be better.
We stayed here for a week and moved on to Athens. It is a Lovely hotel with exceptional staff, lovely breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet, drinks at the bar are reasonably priced. The only issue was with the petite lady from the Spa, she seemed overly keen to offer treatments to my husband which made me extremely uncomfortable ( unprofessional approach) Even when enquiring about her services, she would only make eye contact and smile with my husband when talking to us and even expressed disappointment when he refused a treatment, she seems like a nice lady but she needs to respect boundaries when dealing with couples. Apart from that, it is a lovely place to stay, great food and attentive staff.
We were disappointed with this hotel. Inadequate bathroom with nowhere to put anything by the sink. We had to request a small table to put toiletries on. The lighting was poor so could not see for makeup, shaving etc. The 'desk' in the room had no mirror. When we complained the hotel did provide a stand alone mirror so we could do hair, makeup etc. The wardrobe only had a half length hanging bar without a full length drop for dresses so all our clothes were jammed in together. There were no drawers to put underwear, other clothing and items. Shelves are not acceptable for this and I had to use my suitcase as a drawer. We did later discover a very small hidden drawer in the bedside tables which we could use for small items overnight. The bed was comfortable and we had a free safe in the room. The coffee machine was set on a very high dark shelf and wired directly into the wall so you could not see or reach the controls properly. The result was, when we tried to use it, we got cold coffee which overflowed all over the shelf. The swimming pool is unattended and when you get there the notice says you should go from the 6th floor down to Reception to get a towel! Fortunately the Spa Lady was outside and said she could provide a towel which we could drop back/exchange up there. Reception were apologetic and helpful and said it was designed as a business hotel. But a 5 Star hotel should be designed for all users and women are business people too!…
I stayed at this hotel for a week in April and was blown away by every member of staff I came across. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and really went the extra mile. The hotel is in a great location near the port but also the centre. The rooms were of a really good quality with a great shower! I would like to extend a special mention to all the restaurant staff who were so helpful. I was fasting for lent and therefore had vegan requirements and everyone made sure I had exactly what I needed and there was always plenty of options of for me. The restaurant captain was always friendly and patient and also gave me lots of help with local recommendations which I was so grateful for. On a very busy morning during the breakfast rush both Maria and Chrisanthi checked I had everything I needed and if I needed any further help. Thank you so much to all of you!…
Location, location, location. This is a nice hotel, in central Heraklion, with much to see within walking distance. (As a bonus, it's got great reading lamps, which are rare!) Another bonus: I usually avoid hotel restaurants, which tend to be bland and overpriced. Not this one. It's got a great menu, and terrific waiters. The breakfast buffet is also great, and carefully monitored for sanitation, which I really appreciated. I was told my room had a "sea view," which meant I saw a sliver of ocean beyond the many rooftops. But that didn't bother me. The hotel had enough going on in its favor, and the sea was a short walk.
Despite the clever photo angles the hotel is not adjacent to the sea, and the sea views were not full ones. Disappointed that the roof top, including the pool, was closed and very disappointed that we weren't told of this in advance, nor was this mentioned on the website. Spacious room, with large comfortable bed, good storage and lovely walk in shower, plus separate toilet. Very quiet room considering the city centre location. Breakfast buffet well managed re Covid - very good choice of quality products. Bar prices reasonable - we didn't try lunch or dinner. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is 50 years old but doesn't look it. It's obviously popular for conferences. As tourists we felt slightly let down by the views on arrival, and the immediate approach to the hotel. However it is in a very good location to explore the old town and nearby sights and restaurants. We very much enjoyed our stay but weren't wowed.…
Just wanted to hop on here to give a fantastic review of Zoe who gave myself and my partner massages Tailored to our individual needs. She was so friendly and approachable and shared with us some recommendations of places to go and things to do on our trip. Still at the beautiful Aquila Atlantis now so will be sure to review the hotel at a later date but really wanted to review Zoe and thoroughly recommend booking in at the spa with her.
