The hotel is strategically located within walls of old city between the beach of Ammoudara and the main attractions, not so far from them. Hotel is re-innovated 7 floor building. Rooms are not large, but but enough for the convenient accommodation. The room has the safe, TV, several chairs, table and the wardrobe, electric kettle, air conditioner. There is quite large balcony with two beach chairs and the small table and also drying hanger for the clothes. Unfortunately there is quite a lot of dust in the air from street, so everything gets dusty very quickly. The room has electric sockets next to the beds and two other sockets, one of them with USB port. The personnel speaks English and very friendly and helpful. The avenue Kalokerinou named after the discoverer of the Knossos Palace is quite busy road so it is nicer to live on higher floors. There is a restaurant serving good continental breakfast. There is omelette, ham, cheese, Greek yogurt, flakes, fruits, on the menu. Just 70 meters from the hotel there is Bazaar and in 200 m is Chalkiadakis supermarket, Lidl in 800 m outside of the city walls. All closed on Sundays. The avenue Kalokerinou has several street food places, and if you walk 400 m to Morosini Lions Fountain you can find even more restaurants there. Heraklion has a problem with great beaches, but in 500 m from the hotel there is a Dermatos Bay, where is a wild beach where one can deep into the sea. The proper beach is in Ammoudara in 2.2 km from the hotel. There is another beach in 1 km in front of Talos Plaza shopping mall, but it is rocky and no sunbeds or lifeguard. Another place to swim is the port mole starting from the Kules fortress in 1.2 km. The mole protects from high waves when it is windy and other places are not suitable for swimming.…
The building is located a 5 minute walk from the city centre, all the rooms i had been to were very clean and all the appliances (TV, phone, hairdryer) were functional. The wifi had a good signal but was slow and unresponsive sometimes. The staff were very polite and welcoming.
This is a really nice hotel, very spacious room with a sofa and good working desk. WIFI was very fast. We could see the sea from the balcony. I even liked the art work on the walls. Sunny breakfast room. The welcome was warm and help and advice cheerfully offered. The hotel entrance is just off a shopping street but within walking distance of the more historic areas, very quiet at night. Worth noting that the bus to the airport is just a few steps away. The Iraklion was a real bargain too, thoroughly recommended.
Our fourth Visit to this Hotel, it is in an Ideal position for everything in the City Centre. Rooms are Spotless, Staff all Friendly fantastic Buffet Breakfast with an excellent selection to eat. Parking at the Rear of the Hotel.
Very clean and beautiful rooms ! The staff was very friendly! And best location!! I highly recommend it!! We had an amazing vacation there ! The breakfast was also delicious and with variety of options !
The staff was very friendly and the room was spacious with a nice view. The owner gave us many restaurants options and he helped us to plan our holidays. The location was just perfect! The hotel is located in the center and there are lots of things nearby. If you visit Heraklion, don't think twice and just stay there!!
My family of 5 enjoyed the breakfast, it was the best we had in Greece. The wifi signal is SUPER strong. Beautiful rooms and clean. Like most hotels in Greece, the magnetic key fob turns on the power. The ONLY drawbacks of this hotel was our AC wasn't strong enough for the family room and the shower curtain needs to be further out. Parking is easy 8 Euro a day around the corner from the garage. It's hard finding parking in Crete. Beware the small roads.
This was a good hotel for a couple of days stay. Rooms clean and well presented and with balconies. The reception staff were welcoming & friendly. The buffet breakfast was ok, given that we are vegetarian.
We found this hotel after our booked apartment fell through so we were stranded. They had rooms available and breakfast was included at a good price. We were only here the one night but the man on reception was very welcoming.
We stayed here for 6 days and found it a good choice. It’s quite near the heart of Irakleio and the rooms are good with a balcony overlooking the street so that you can stay in touch with the local street life. Staff are friendly and helpful and there is parking in the narrow streets nearby. However, we found it a bit noisy quite late in the evenings and early in the morning, with the sliding of chair legs reverberating on the concrete floors, and on a Sunday night were disturbed by someone knocking on our room door (and earlier, on other doors on the same floor) at 2:30 AM.
