It was such a wonderful and pleasant stay! 😆 The location is pretty good, in the city center. And transportation like bus are near by, shops and cafes, also tourist’s attraction too in a few minutes walk. The receptionist Vasiliki is so pretty and lovely, also very friendly and kind, to provide us many information about the hotel, the city, the attractions, transportation and so on and so forth. In the room there is all you going to need, toothbrush, soap, towels . It is well done! :) The food there is excellent and even the breakfast, so delicious! Totally love it!☕️ If I have time, I would definitely go to visit Crete one more time and stay there again!! ❤️

Hotel's Favourite
From the crisp cotton sheets to the exemplary staff it was a pleasure. The hotel is located 2 minutes from the centre providing. The room was immaculate, with every fitting well designed. With a view over looking the sea it’s ideally located. The staff were genuinely so pleasant and a testament to the Hotel. We only ate breakfast at Legacy and this was sumptuous! I would highly recommend a stay here. When we return to Crete this is where we’ll stay.

We really enjoyed the Legacy Gastro Suites, and its fantastic location! Smack in the city center makes for easy walking around the city center (although parking was brutal!) My wife and I stayed in the K suite; super clean and the library-like decor was nice! The hotel was very clean overall and Vasiliki at reception was amazing in helping us with room refills, restaurant recommendations, and she is generally a wonderful person! The included breakfast was good, to include a spread of jams and pastry items as well as Greek yogurt and eggs made to preference. If you have a car rental, note that you’ll probably need to find parking slightly away as the hotel only has one spot and the nearest paid parking lot was always full. But we didn’t mind the short walk and the hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating. Would recommend!

This place was really perfect! We had an El view suite, which was a generous size, nicely appointed and spotless. It does overlook the street, and despite staying on a Saturday night, we didn’t find it to be excessively noisy (in fact, we slept like babies!). The location can’t be beat; it was a minute walk to the archaeological museum and the bus stop to Knossos and there were plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. Breakfast was delicious and it was the start we needed to get the day going. Every single person we engaged with at the hotel was friendly and helpful; we had the impression they like their jobs and want to make their guests comfortable and happy. Marie Elena (I am probably not spelling her name correctly), was particularly helpful, arranging for a rental car, helping us sort dinner plans and encouraging us when we massacred the Greek word for “thank you.” We hope to return to Heraklion (we felt it got a bit of short shrift compared to Chania) and if we do, we will definitely stay here again.

A friend and I stayed here for 4 nights. We very much enjoyed our stay. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The location is very central on Eleftherias Square. There are good views as one is slightly high up. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly

Fabulous hotel, location on Liberty Square is brilliant, archeological museum is 2 mins across the square and the narrow streets full of lovely restaurants are just round the corner. The hotel staff are just amazing and went to so much trouble arranging drivers to take us to the various amazing ruins around Heraklion. Suites gorgeous with excellence quality bedding admins comfortable balconies with views of the sea beyond the square. Delicious and enormous breakfast ……. It was heaven and a huge thanks to all the wonderful staff.

The room, upon entry, was crisp and clean. 4 coffee cups, 4 wine glasses, 4 water glasses. A nice welcome tray of cheeses. Desk staff warm and welcoming. Breakfast staff was excellent. While some reviewers complained about room layout, it was a step up from our Athens accommodations, so we were pleased. Can it be loud at night? Of course. Look at the map before booking. It's on a main square of town which adds to its convenience, which is what we wanted. Bus line 2 is steps away and can take you to Knossos. Archeological Museum a 2 minute walk from room. Why only four stars? The housekeeper was lacking. Never wiped the table off. Never replaced sugar packets used. We had to ask for more coffee cups as she never replaced the ones we used. By the end, we had only one clean water glass and one wine glass. Tipping her didn't help. Definitely need a new housekeeper with a better eye for detail.

The good: Excellent value for money. Great service from staff, easy access, ice cold AC, cute decor and an huge and delicious breakfast with excellent coffee. The room was clean with great tech and incredible shower. There are several reasons I didn't give 5 stars. First there are parts of the hotel that need maintenance such damaged baseboards and carpet that is really worn. The room layout is odd as well. The shower and sink are right next to the bed (we stayed in V suite although we had reserved EL suite). I was told the only difference between the two rooms is the artist so I am assuming both have the odd layout. If you like hot showers it will steam up the entire room. The bed sheets felt like paper which is not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. I know I am picky and maybe I should not have such high expectations at this price point but it is still classified as 5 star hotel which is why I am rating it like this.
