Beautiful small hotel straight on the golf course. Rooms are like in a very good business hotel, bathrooms are spacious with everything (bathtub, seperate shower, bidet) in a very tasteful style. Just the architect was not a genius - all rooms are facing the parking lot and to bring up your luggage, you need two different elevators. The staff - restaurant team, reception, caddy master - are all exceptional friendly and accomodating. The golf course is in very good shape and you have breathtaking views to the surrounding mountains (mainly on the back nine). Breakfast and dinner are delicious. You can enjoy them on the beautiful veranda with view to hole 18 and the mountains in the distance.

Great find in the touristic Crete. Only few miles from the busy Heronissos Old Town, but it’s like a different world. The hotel is small, only 26 rooms, or better suites, which look and are equiped like in 5 star boutique hotel. Of course the entity is unbeatable for golf players, because of beautiful, well maintained, even manicured golf course. But not only. The place is also great for guests looking for retreat and tranquillity. However the biggest value of this place is extremely friendly and faithful team. The manager, receptionists, waitresses and golf support staff deserve for the highest note. The breakfast was very good, with many typicall Greek specialities. The same with dinners, which appeared tasty and varied. Maybe only lunch menu could be more diversified. The swimming pool with relaxing area offers nice option for sunbathing and resting. Definitely, one of the best addresses on the island.

May not be a golf player, but this hotel could easily be the destination for a relaxing holiday. Away from the busy north coast, on the hills of central Crete, the landscape is so unique; the green grass of golf course under the rocky Cretan mountains covered with olive and carob trees, wildflowers and shrubs. Enjoying the hot Mediterranean sun by the beautiful swimming pool was all we needed during our three day stay, while the restaurant's menu kept our appetite more than happy (its fascinating veranda is surrounded with lavenders and purple buganvilias facing the golf course). And the rooms are so spacious, actually of suite size. Marble bathroom with full amenities and a full mini bar, Nespresso coffee machine, candies and crisps and the list goes on... The personnel went above and beyond to help and serve our needs and everyone was so friendly especially to our daughter. Definitely recommended and definitely we'll be back, maybe next time we'll try the game too. Keep an eye for the grouses hidden in the shrubs, they love the game!

We stayed at Crete Golf Club Hotel for 10 days in August/September for our honeymoon. We arrived at around 21:30/22:00 and were shown to our room by the lovely night manager. We were really impressed with our suite, probably the nicest hotel room we've stayed in. The bathroom was stunning, with a lovely big bath and a fantastic walk in shower. Our bed was huge and very comfy. Breakfast was incredible every morning, you really were spoilt with all the fresh bread, fruit, yoghurts, cheeses etc. You could also have eggs made for you, however this wasn't actually clear and the only reason I knew about it was that I had read a review saying the exact same thing. A sign would be good, or to be asked when you sit down. We found the lunch menu to be limited, and had the same sandwich every day for 9 days, one day the very accommodating head chef made us something a little different. This was the same for dinner. We had paid for half board but, again, found the menu limited, particularly as a vegetarian. The head chef however was very keen to produce different meals for us and I feel that he should be given more opportunity to change the menu of an evening. It's clear that the menu has been set for golfers who dine at the club occasionally, not for hotel guests who want to eat there regularly or who have paid for a half board service. We felt extremely short changed by this and as a result, only ate 5 times out of 10 nights in the hotel, despite paying for half board. The restaurant also closes quite early (as golfers finish playing by 8pm) and therefore food wasn't available to us when we arrived at the hotel (or anytime after 8:30pm), which isn't ideal, particularly as the nearest restaurant is around a 10 minute drive away and not possible to walk to. The pool area is stunning and extremely quiet, on several occasions we were the only ones around it which was nice! My husband played golf twice, however even with the summer special offer, at 100 euros a time, it can be a very expensive holiday activity. This included the buggy and golf club hire (the buggy is a necessity in the heat and with the hills!) however at full price it would be 160 euros+. The hotel is very secluded and therefore a car is a must. Taxis get very expensive into Hersonissos (20 euros return to the old town, 30 euros return to the new town) and there isn't anything else around the area, apart from a water park which you can walk to. We found the majority of the staff to be fantastic, a special mention to the receptionist with the blonde hair, the golf specialist, the head chef and our waitress. However we did have two issues which marred our experience. On our last day, we had an incident in our room and when we spoke to the general manager about it, he was extremely defensive over it and implied that it was our problem and not a problem with the hotel or its staff. We came to him with constructive criticism and advice and although he did look into the incident for us, he made us feel like we wanted something for free which was most definitely not the case and rather insulting. We also had an issue when checking out when the receptionist told us our room bill was 2500 euros and when looking at the bill, the room rate had been added onto our bill when we had pre-paid using booking.com. The receptionist didn't believe us and said that booking.com do not take pre-payments and so we had to get our bank statement up on our phone to show the money had left our account 6 week previous as well as a print out from booking.com which had PAID written in big red letter across it. A simple error on the hotels part for sure, but again we were made to feel like we were lying and it was extremely embarrassing having to go through this situation with a load of other people stood at reception. On the whole, the actual hotel is lovely, all be it very secluded, but it's primary focus is being a golf club. If I were to stay there again, it would be for 2-3 days rather than 10, however with our experience in the final 24 hours, we wouldn't return. It's a shame as the majority of the staff are really some of the best in the business and the bedrooms are incredible.

Every member of the hotel staff (the employee who welcomed us, the receptionists, the cleaning ladies, the waitresses, the lifeguard) went far and beyond to please us and make us feel welcomed. The only slightly negative experience was with the restaurant manager (I assume that was him because he was not a waiter) who spoke too loudly and woke up our 5 month old boy three times during lunch. He also forgot our eggs in breakfast the next morning. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the standard room is very spacious and wonderfully decorated. The marble bathroom was a highlight! We would definitely recommend this hotel whether you are a golfer or not (we are not..)!

Just finished my second stay in the last month. The hotel is brand new. The rooms are the best I've experienced in Europe. They are brand new, modern and very spacious. The staff really are accommodating in every area of the hotel. The food, especially dinner was terrific. Dinner was fine dining quality and the chef was amazing. The hotel overlooks the golf course which is so well kept and manicured. We booked a half board package that includes dinner and greens fee. Best deal going. The hotel is close to the beach town of Hersonissos. Just 5 or 10 minutes to drive. The restaurant manager, chef and Anna do such an awesome job of providing 5 star service in the hotel, restaurant and golf course. I highly recommend this hotel. You won't be disappointed. My wife loved the pool as well.

When hubby and I decided to go on our 1st vacation with our little man (9months old baby boy), we started stressing out about pretty much everything. Little did we know, we were in for the treat of our lives. Wonderful caring people welcomed us with not only everything that we needed to stay as a family but everybody went the extra mile to make us feel at home. From the sweet baby gift basket (see pics) to the special baby meals every evening prepared by the extraordinary chef Harris. Everything was perfect. The facility, in the middle of a dreamy and relaxing golf club was clean and beautiful, the swimming pool large and welcoming and the dinning room cosy and elegant. But this barely describes the wonderful people of the staff we will miss dearly. As professional as warm and caring, always making sure that everything was not only good but great. Always more than willing to give us great tips and advices to discover the island and its cute villages and beaches. The hotel staff was honestly extraordinary. Our room (the standard one) was extra spacious (42m2) with a very nice balcony and a view on the golf. The food was varied, super creative and delicious (it’s hard not to be redondant for a chef when your hosts stay stay 2weeks and don’t eat meat or sea food..) so kudos to the wonderful chef Harris! It was delicious (and different !)every time. Special thanks to maria the super nice cleaning lady, litsa- the awesome waitress, chef Harris, mary and Anna and actually everybody else from the staff who made this stay so relaxing and wonderful ! We warmly recommend it to both families and single/ couple - wether you play golf or not (we didn’t), you will not be disappointed !
