Very enjoyable stay. The bathrooms are upgraded and the pool is beautiful. Cleaning was daily and very friendly, and Maria at the front desk was helpful and at the end of my stay drove me to the bus stop.

Stayed here for a week as a group of friends. The hotel is perfect, close to all of the restaurants and bars. Staff are really friendly, helpful and accommodating. We ate lunch at the restaurant most days, and all our meals were very enjoyable. Really good value for money. Also the sun beds by the pool are so comfortable! Will definitely be back

We were supposed to be staying in the old town but we were changed to stelios gardens a week before we left. So glad we were, we didn't arrive until gone midnight but the owners waited for us and showed us to our room. Very nice apartment over looking the pool and mountains. Great pool and gardens. Two minutes from a fantastic beach and same from bars and restaurants. Rooms were made up every day, of which I have not seen before. Good food to be had at on site restaurant, priced much the same as everywhere else. Would highly recommend 😊

I had such an amazing experience staying at Stelios Gardens and would definitely recommend anyone looking to stay in Malia to choose Stelios. For the price it was so great, the rooms were as shown and the pool was so nice and even better than the pictures, all the staff were so lovely and helpful, going above and beyond to make our experience here all that much better. The cleaners left a beautiful arrangement of rose petals and heart shaped towels on the bed for my boyfriend and I which was so thoughtful and did so again during our stay, the cleaners really were so friendly. The food here was so good, most nights we looked to explore different restaurants but I would say Stelios probably had some of the best food we had the whole trip. The hotel is less than a two minute walk away from the beach and so close to other bars and restaurants but out the way enough that it is not too noisy and bothersome. The staff and hotel really added to our experience and Crete and if we were to return we would definitely choose Stelios as our hotel of choice.

Me and my girlfriend (from the UK) stayed at Stelios gardens during our two week holiday in Malia. We found the staff really polite and helpful and always attended to our every need. The room that we stayed in was perfect, literally just how we imagined it from the pictures. The cleaners were also really friendly and nice and ensured that the room was cleaned thoroughly and on a regular basis. The hotel as a whole was just brilliant, the pool/bar area was always tidy and really nice and the food at the hotel was fantastic (their gyros special was our favourite). Also the hotel is only a 3-5 minute walk from the beach which is perfect. We would definitely recommend Stelios Gardens to anyone that is looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in Malia.

The hotel is situated in Malia, a very convenient location to visit many landmarks of Crete. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very rich. Most of all,we enjoyed a great hospitality from the owners and the stuff. It's a value for money hotel. We'll stay here again on our next travel in Crete.

Wonderful hotel with a lovely garden. I really enjoyed staying here. I was given a room with a good design with everything you need inside: a mini-kitchen suitable for preparing simple dishes, a TV, a dining table, a balcony with a table, a good shower, a comfortable large bed. Everything was working. Each room has a separate entrance. After 22:00, the hotel was quiet for the peace of mind of the guests. Rooms were cleaned daily from 11:00. The hotel has a pool with clear water, a bar and a restaurant with affordable prices. The entire territory of the hotel is very well-groomed and it is pleasant to be in it. The staff and guests of the hotel are very friendly, pleasant atmosphere. In 3 minutes there is a beautiful sandy beach with a safe entry into the sea. There is a good supermarket nearby, Chalkiadakis. For a month in Greece, I can say that this is one of the best hotels I have been to in Crete! Thanks for the best service.

Came out to Malia as our daughter was taken ill and hospitalised early in her holiday. The staff at the hotel were very helpful to us allowing us to change our plans, we were very grateful for that. The hotel is quiet and pool area laid back. The food in the evening was really good and good value. If I came back to Maila this is the place I would stay at .

I have never written a bad review before in my life but this HAS to be done. My boyfriend and I came here for a quiet romantic holiday after our previous holiday had been cancelled due to Covid-19. Firstly, I’d like to say that the pool and location was fine. However, we are extremely unhappy with the way we have been treated by the staff. We had no welcome when we arrived. We arrived at 1am as our flight was late. We struggled entering the hotel as it was pitch black and there was no clear sign for entry. We walked in, and there was a sign on the door telling us where to go. As we got to our room, the door was left open so our room was filled with mosquitoes. Also, we had no air conditioning for the night. We woke up the next morning and unpacked our luggage and then we were told we were put in the wrong room and we had to move immediately. So we had to pack up all of our stuff and move it to the new room (which was actually nicer). But we had no apologies for this inconvenience. However, we were then told we had to pay €50 for air conditioning for the week which really blew our budget! We needed this air conditioning as our room was so hot the night before without it. I had zero greetings from any staff members and I almost feel uncomfortable asking them questions. Also, there were no ‘do not disturb’ signs for the doors so the cleaners walked in whenever they wanted. They even walked in on my boyfriend in the shower! We also went into our room one night and there was a live cockroach scuttling around our room and a dead one under our bed! Then 2 nights later, we found another HUGE one on our wall. I left my boyfriend to keep an eye on it and I went to speak to the manager and he ended up squaring up to me very aggressively (to a 21 year old girl) and said “so what do you want be to do about it?”. And when I asked him to politely remove it and put some bug spray down, he walked off and tutted and took a good 5 minutes to work up to picking up a broom stick and helping me with it. My boyfriend finally caught it and when the manager saw me crying and shaking, he laughed in my face. This fully grown man made me cry my eyes out because he was so horrible to me. I can’t comprehend this! The only time I had decent customer service, was the chef who gave me & my boyfriend free coffee & cake. He was pleasant but everyone else were downright rude! Constant glares, tuts and eye roles. On the last day, we checked out and got no ‘goodbyes’ or ‘have a safe journey’. We just left without anything! I know we didn’t pay much, but we at least expect cleanliness and polite staffing with a 3.5 star hotel. Extremely disappointed.
