In the heart of Heraklion city, Olive Green Hotel stands out with a distinct character. The name consists of two nodal words for the interpretation of its philosophy and personality that lies beyond. The Olive stands as a symbol of power, eternity, tranquility and prosperity. The Olive is embedded in the entity of Crete, through its purity and wildness. On the other side, the color Green represents the ecological and contemporary character of the hotel which implements international sustainability criteria. Olive Green is an intelligent, conscious, eco-friendly hotel, a prototype for citizens and travelers of the world. With modern infrastructures it combines the cutting-edge technology with the glory of Cretan culture while it gives prominence to all these elements that create eternal values. Its Philosophy is inculcated by the logotype which is inspired from the Minoan icons. The spiral, a symbol of birth, continuity and a universal imprint surrounded by olive leaves. Olive Green is a hotel with a very distinctive character of its own. It has cultivated a sui generis style through simplicity and individuality aiming to change the way of living in a city hotel.

The price of the room was (for me about €50,- a night) I had a room at the first floor. The noise of the other guests is hearable, oké the noise from the street you can’t blame the hotel, but it is annoying. The bed was great and breakfast amazing, you have so many choices. Eggs 4 deferent ways. And lots of sweet stuf (which I am not allowed because i have diabetes) in the middle of the center! Walking distance at some nice museums. will I return? YES I will Thank you staff Regards Eric

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed here last week, and the room was lovely; it had a very comfortable bed and an amazing shower. The highlight, however, is the staff: each is proficient in English, and they are all so friendly. The restaurant attached to the hotel has lovely food, and the coffee and fresh orange juice are amazing. Would not hesitate to stay here again and to recommend this to family and friends. Only minor complaint was that the thermostat was not easy to use: we had to contact reception, but it was adjusted immediately via computer.

Great value for money, location is lovely service is attentive. It was a surprise to the upside with a clean, contemporary space. the front desk was helpful and pleasant. they offered us coupons for local affiliate restaurants, and the food was good in the hotel restaurant. The beds were clean, there was water in the room, and a coffee maker. its a very efficient with decent amount of space along with a balcony and two chairs. My rating is excellent for the price (Its not luxury per se; but rather a clean safe great value hotel with really nice service). Our price included breakfast and parking.

I was in Heraklion for just a week on an Easyjet holiday. I usually like older more traditional hotels, but the Olive Green hotel was one of just a few available: it was excellent. The hotel is very well-located, part way between the harbour and the centre of the city and close to a range of good restaurants. It faces out over a square filled with trees. It's relatively quiet although you can hear the noise from the square in the evening - but not if you close the door, which makes the room almost silent. The air conditioning was first class and virtually silent. The staff, particularly those on reception, were very friendly and efficient. I had what they call a Popular Executive room - number 503 on the fifth floor. It was of a good size and had a balcony looking over the square. It was well furnished with modern furniture, an extremely comfortable bed and a truly wonderful shower. I now know that I need to get a new bed and shower for my home in the UK! The room had a flat screen TV which included BBC News. There was an espresso machine and a kettle. A small fridge was also provided, which gave me somewhere to keep the things I bought from the local supermarket, which wasn't far away. The safe was large enough to take my 13" laptop. The room layout was a little strange in that it had a separate shower cubicle, a separate toilet and a separate cupboard containing a sink. The room was cleaned every day and there were frequent changes of bedlinen and towels, which were soft and fluffy. Breakfast was very good, included in the room rate and served in a room in the basement. The self-service buffet included cooked items (including fried eggs, scrambled egg, omelette, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans and hard-boiled eggs). There was also a good choice of cold meats, cheeses, tomato and cucumber. Rolls and bread were available, although it has to be said that the toaster was terrible: it took ages to toast a slice of bread and only did one side. A wide range of cereals and fruit were available, as well as Greek yoghurt, various 'spoon sweets' and various cakes and little pies. Fruit juice, tea and coffee were available. I'd thoroughly recommend the hotel and would return for another visit.
