The room was small with few amenities- a small fridge and optional air conditioning. The balcony made the size of the room bearable. As other reviewers have said you are told off if walking through the restaurant even if it is empty-which is unpleasant. Staff can be quite difficult to find and though pleasant didn't resolve the problem we had... More

I booked last minute for a few days to meet up with family. Had to ask the restaurant staff to find the lady to check in as reception is not manned but I ended up with a lovely twin room (105) overlooking the harbour with a good sized balcony (room for 2 chairs and a table). The entrance is round... More

Lovely little hotel right on the harbour, (though the entrance is in a back street!) we had a perfect room with a balcony overlooking the harbour, where we sat at night watching all the twinkling lights and early morning even saw the sun rise!) The room was very clean and enough room, (shame there were no glasses though) but very... More

We had a lovely week at the Kalypso Hotel. Our room no 206 looked out to the harbour, super. The staff were very friendly and helpful, plus our room was cleaned every day. The rooms are basic but perfectly formed with no street noise, plus the beds are very comfortable.

No impressed with the hotel! Nobody at the reception but you could find somebody at the restaurant. Wifi-well, we could access the restaurants wifi from our room almost every night but my friends, couldnt access it (2 room further). We had room with sea view, the other rooms are smaller and do not worthy it. Room looks clean, AC works... More

I was staying in this hotel for 16 days. Almost every day l have had my room with new fresh and clean sheets ,towels and mopped floor. The staff was very kind and friendly. I would recommend this hotel for your holidays in Elounda of Crete.

We visited with my two kids for lunch. My eight year old loved the meatballs, my daughter and I had the grilled calamari and my partner had a risotto with John Dory. The service was impeccable, the setting was beautiful and we all left with big smiles on our faces. Probably not the cheapest place in Crete but well worth... More

We drove into Elounda last week looking for a 4 night stay close to the centre. Our budget limit was 50 Euros a night, and our 'must-haves' were basically Wi-Fi in the room and somewhere to park. Looking at Booking.com the Kalypso seemed to fit the bill.Luckily they had a room free for the 4 nights, at 50 Euros a... More

My family and I were delighted with our visit to the Kalypso restaurant today. We're all experienced cooks and obsessive foodies and the food was some of the best any of us have tasted. The wine list is extremely well chosen and the sommelier made a perfect recommendation to suit our tastes. The menu is a carefully balanced combination of... More
