This is a nice hotel built in the mountains overlooking the bay. It is very steep and while ok for the fit we used the club cars which were very good to get about. Nice room, deluxe, with private pool over looking spingalonga island. All meals...More
Hotel was excellent. Absolutely excellent and first off I would like to say that all photos from the website are genuinely representative of what was there. What you see really is what you get.

Firstly, the service of the staff was excellent. Always polite, friendly and very helpful. Particularly those serving in the restaurants.
The food was also very good, fresh with a good selection and good tastes. Although maybe not very authentic Greek style on most days (venture...More

Hi Shamwari we always have deluxe room and these have better views as they are higher up the hillside. So whilst it takes longer to walk down it is an amazing and beautiful journey I would not want to miss by being at the lower levels. We walk up and down constantly to enjoy the different aspects and whilst it is walking up a cliffside you have the choice of various flights of steps through the centre of the grounds or the road the buggy uses to the side. Mix and match the buggy ride also allows you a beautiful ride down. If you are going from breakfast or the pool you are already halfway down anyway. Coming back up is more of a challenge but we like a challenge and often get passed by a buggy which wants to pick you up anyway they dont mind. It is part of the beauty of the place!. Small local road to cross but not an issue. There are toilets at the bottom also. Hairdriers yes but as usual in hotels small and not too powerful. Probably ok for most but my hair is really thick causing aching arms so take my own if got weight available. We are going again in October, cool enough to walk around then!

Hi, the hotel has a section of beach opposite across the small local road but it is not a problem. We love it and there are comfortable sunbeds with table and parasol all laid out each day. We have never had a problem getting one. There is a beach bar were you can get drinks alcoholic or otherwise and lunches. The view is beautiful and you can watch people kayaking or banana boating etc from the small watersports centre which operates from there. The water is easy to swim and the beach has a small imported sand area in front of the sunbeds which are on decking. There is also a private traditional yacht which is based there which you can hire for two or four hours etc (skippered by the owner for you)available. Toilet facility is back across the minor road at the base of the hotel. As the hotel facilities and rooms are cut into the cliffside it is a steep road down to the beach but buggies are easily available to take you up and down if you wish but walking is part of the fun here. I believe beaches in Greece are not allowed to be private so it is open to the public also but not that very well frequented as I think the sunbeds are chargeable for them and not too cheap.
