Two things I enjoyed the most... A rich homemade breakfast gazing the golf of Mirabello and the village of Elounda (indescribable view!) and a glass of red wine, in the evening, lying on a long chair looking at the stars in a so peaceful atmosphere!!!! Taking few days off in such a complex you feel to be reborn. Everything looks...

We arrived at Elounda Island Villas at night (drove from Heraklion Airport). Even though we knew our accommodation was on a little island, outside the town of Elounda, we were charmed by the surroundings and the immediate proximity of the very calm stretch of sea water. The little cafe area in front welcomed us with a calm atmosphere and a...

Hello Victor and Alina! Thank you so much for this review. It is actually something more than a review. It is a very touching text. Pythia (the cat) misses you... I am really looking forward to seeing you and welcoming you back to Elounda Island! Take care, Lida

My mother´s wish for her 60th birthday was simple: a greek paradise - The big surprise: We found one: "Elounda Island Villas" at Spina Longa The whole family, 3 generations(!), stayed at "Elounda Island Villas" for 2 weeks - and the whole family loved it! We loved to experience the warm-hearted atmosphere of the tasteful villas the peace of the...

Lovely Katharina, It was such a pleasure to have you as our guests! And what you are describing about the area it is so true, only people with open eyes and heart are able to realise. You are all fantastic, especially Phelix ;-) I really hope to see you again, in Crete, in Athens or Berlin! Yours, Lida

Many times on many travels like many others have we have found many beautiful places but rarely found such a treasure. We always experience a comfortable visit, feeling secure to enjoy the locality. The family here more than deserves a positive comment in this and any other travel review. There is nothing pretentious about the presentation of the villas or...

This is a beautiful secluded area, just 10 minutes walk into the centre of Elounda. The villas are lovely, all individual, and well appointed. We had a wonderful secluded terrace to sunbathe with views over Elounda. Lida who runs it, is so helpful and friendly. There is a lovely cafe here where Lida serves breakfast and lunches which are really...

Unspoiled natural beauty, peaceful surroundings and wonderful people. This is Elounda Island Villas for me. I stayed here last Ocotber and definitely will come back. The cost to stay and eat here is affordable, I even could say cheap. But the value is high.

Elounda Villas was just what we expected and needed. A quiet relaxing holiday! An ideal place especially for couples and families with young children - a little beach for little feet just in front. It is not suitable for people looking for luxury, pools and all-round service etc., as the word "Villa" may suggest. This is a rustic secluded place...

if you're looking for a rustic Greek holiday, Elounda Island Villas is the most incredible, charming and beautiful location. It's the only accommodation on the Island; therefore, very peaceful and relaxing. We rented bicycles and cycled to the local beaches each day, which we found unspoiled and wonderful. Leda and her family add to the relaxed and homely ambience. I...

This is a really special place. Not just because of its wonderful location but because of the welcome held for anyone lucky enough to find themselves staying here. The only accomodation on this island, tethered to the mainland by a narrow bridge linked to a causeway, these beautiful, simple villas are the perfect place to relax right beside this sheltered...

What a fantastic find! Totally unspoiled area just across the bay from Elounda itself, which has the right amount of holiday-feel for me. Clean and simple accommodation that suited us perfectly. Fantastic welcome and hosting throughout our stay by Lida, family and staff. Of course beautifully located close to small and idyllic beaches within walking distance. Great snorkelling for the...
