Having read the excellent TA reviews for Pension Theresa we were looking forward to a three day stay here. We had a room on the top floor as all the other rooms were booked. We knew it would be old and with lots of steps...not a problem. We were expecting charming and quirky and what we got was run down...

Yes, this is our favourite hotel in Chania and we have been here before. I have not reviewed it before for selfish reasons: I want it to keep being available and when people know how charming and cheap this place is, it will fill up quickly. But the country is in crisis and everybody needs all the help they can...

Next to the old harbour, ancient builing and rooms with loads of personality. Eat the breakfast in the sun at terrass. Great för writing a novel, get deeper in love or just continue existing. Highly recommended.

I actually ended up in the hotel by accident on a rainy and cold winter night. Although there is no central heating the a/c was enough to heat up the room. I had a look at a couple of rooms out of interest and every one is different with its own character. The rooftop balcony (complete with a common kitchen...

The owner Giorgos, is a visionary, warmhearted man, who believes in quallitys like excelent views, good value, easy to stay at, sharing a sweet terasse with amazing view over the old port of Chania. And first of all in hun´man realtions. Each room is carefully decorated in old style with real antics, very romantic and good taste. Its not luxury...

Thanks so much to you all at pension Theresa. These people are genuine and trying to make everyone's stay the best possible - thanks so much from Michelle, Jess and the kids xxxx We especially liked the helpful staff (I think they are the daughters of the owner) and nothing was ever a problem.

We got room nr. 1 and had a wonderful view of Chania Harbour and lighthouse, as well as one of the nicest alleys of the neighborhood. Good workout if you have many heavy suitcases, as there's no elevator and the 49 steps to the first floor and give you a good sweat. They have a great kitchen on the second...

We stayed in this guest house on the first and last two night of our holiday. This old house is beautiful with lovely furniture interesting books and pictures in all the rooms. It is in the old harbour near to the waterfront. The view from the terrace is stunning. There is a small kitchen and you could prepare your own...

I only spent a night, but the atmosphere is wonderful, the hotel is located very very close to the center. The atmosphere is warm and fuzzy, rooms large and very very comfy. 30 euros in low season, definitely worth the money!!
