Quirky and very convenient. Good value. Smallish room but so full of character. The most amazing curved staircase you have ever seen. Roof terrace with kitchen is wonderful. Great place to stay. Very obliging hosts. Happy to store stuff etc.

We arrived in Chania late at night in the midst of an incredible wind and dust storm... Taxi dropped us off near the harbor and we made our way to Pension Theresa, which was easy to find based on the directions we were given. Maria was waiting outside for us to arrive. She showed us to our room, talked with...

Interesting old fashioned rooms with excellent views of the harbour. Lovely communal balcony and breakfast area on the very top floor. Really very, very good value for the location and views. I was really pleased to stay here; if only for one night. Would gladly return.

We were won over by trip advisor reviews but when we arrived (admittedly very late) we were dismayed to let ourselves into our room and find a mass of dirt (it looked like someone had been drilling and left the rubble there) all over the surfaces close to the bed and in fact some on the pillows as well. The...

The hotel or pension, is very old so expect everything you would find from a 400 year old building. It is located in a beautiful spot at the edge of the old Chania town, just 30 seconds walk from the sea-front. The owners are very friendly and we ended up chatting away for an hour about our travels. The stairs...

We booked 2 nights here in September and arrived at 1am. Maria was waiting for us, and very helpful and friendly. Our room was very small for a couple, but was okay for 2 nights. The bathroom was quite smelly unfortunately and the shower leaked. It's a very old house with beautiful wooden floors and interesting architectural features and in...

My favourite hotel in Chania! Few meters away from the sea and close to everything. Maria(the owner) is always there to help you and advise you how to discover the secrets of Chania and neighbouring areas. I will highly recommend this place to anyone who wants something different, not usual...

A corner in Chania harbour rich of authentic cretan atmoshpere. We took a 'big room' for 60€ per night and the view was amazing (on the old harbour). The position is good and central. Wr were sad to change room the third night.

Just spent two nights here with my wife and 4 year old son. Location is amazing and the views from the roof terrace are unbeatable. We stayed in the terrace room and did not have any problems with noise. Breakfast is a self service affair and was difficult to work out what was provided and what belonged to other guests....

Having read the excellent TA reviews for Pension Theresa we were looking forward to a three day stay here. We had a room on the top floor as all the other rooms were booked. We knew it would be old and with lots of steps...not a problem. We were expecting charming and quirky and what we got was run down...
