Amazing! This hotel/rooms were spotless! The staff were freindly, they couldn't do enough, helping people in anyway necessary! The cleaning ladies always spoke. The food was plentiful hot, cold plant based and vegetarian with all different salads, fish, meats, Greek dishes etc. too much to pick from! They even had food for us on arrival at 2am! There is a free shuttle bus down to the beach and they will pick you up again when you ask. The pool was cleaned and the area around it every morning. Go to this place....you won't regret it! We will be returning.
Me and my boyfriend had a full body massage, body scrub and body wrap at this hotel and it was amazing. Our massage therapist Vera did a great job and we both felt reborn afterwards. Highly recommend.
I have recently stayed at Chrissi Amoundia for work and from the moment we walked in to when I left the hotel and staff met all expectations. The view from my room 208 was amazing, lovely spacious room with a double balcony. It had everything you needed as a base whilst you explored the grounds and ate at their lovely spacious Resturant. The pool was lovely and great for little ones with entertainment for all. The little villas further away from the main hotel looked beautiful, boasting huge palm trees and beautiful flowers around them, it was so calming and great to walk through. The Resturant was run by the most loveliest man Lefteris and his team. He was very welcoming and would always greet you with a smile and handshake. He has been there for over 38 years, so he knows what he is doing! The food was amazing, there was such variety, super fresh and always enough to go up for more. You can’t fault it. The supermarket is about a 5 minute walk down the hill if you need anything extra, you can hire mopeds and quad bikes opposite, or even a car for the day. It’s all there on your doorstep. The beach is also beautiful at the bottom of the hill about a 15 minute walk. Andy and her team at reception were so welcoming when we arrived and couldn’t of been more helpful to show us what the hotel offered. They also helped me so much, as Easy Jet had over booked my flight so I was stranded for several hours. They told me to come back to the hotel where they offered me a room to refresh, food and whatever else I needed. This was so appreciated as it was a stressful long day. Thank you Andy xx I look forward to bringing my family back to this hotel and to meet the super friendly staff. Thank you again Chrissi Amoundia!!…
Stayed at this hotel for a week, fairly last minute booking and had a lovely relaxing holiday. We had a bungalow room which which was in a quiet area of the hotel with sea views. There were little courtyards that made it look like a traditional little village. I imagine the rooms in the main hotel overlooking the pool could get noisy as they also overlook the bar, dining terrace and entertainment area. The grounds are really pretty and all the public spaces are kept clean and tidy. The staff are really quick to clear tables in the restaurant and it always looked clean with plenty of free tables. The outside terrace overlooking the pool area and the sea was lovely. Unfortunately the same can't be said for the room cleaning or we may have been unfortunate with our maid, but it was definitely hit and miss, however reception were quick to supply clean towels when requested. Bar service was really quick and plenty of places to sit and relax. Evening entertainment isn't great unless you have young children, but you can sit in a separate bar if you want to avoid it. There isn't much outside of the hotel apart from a supermarket and 1 restaurant, we did walk in to Hersonissos, which is approximately 3km away, which was a pleasant walk in the daylight but didn't attempt it after dark and always got a taxi back for 9 euros. We wanted a week of sun and relaxation and for the price we paid we were extremely happy with the hotel and would definitely stay again.…
Can't wait to return hopefully 2023. My partner and I had the best time ever. Really helpful on reception when we needed a room change. We were given 111. Wow this room has beautiful views. Always clean. Food amazing different every night. Staff very helpful. Angel and Freedom so much fun. Entertainment was entertaining . . . Sort of. I even got famous on tik tok by doing the Kareoke. 768.4K views. The grounds are lush green. Flowers are beautiful.
TUI rate this hotel as a 3 plus and I think this is accurate. We had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend the hotel to others who are looking in the 3/4 star range but there are some aspects which do make it feel not quite a 4 star hotel. Good points The hotel grounds are beautiful. It is in a classic style and full of gardens and it’s nice to just wander round. The food was great - this is definitely a strong point of the hotel as AI food can be dreadful unless at an ‘expensive’ hotel There are more recently refurbished areas in the hotel such as the restaurant which is particularly nice. It has indoor and outdoor seating, huge windows and updated decor. Staff are friendly throughout the hotel The animation team are great - my 4 year old loved the mini disco The kids pools were great so the adults didn’t have to get fully into a big pool constantly - I would always look for a hotel with decent sized kids pools with slides etc now Negative points The rooms are a little dated, but they are clean, the shower works well and our room was spacious. We were in the main hotel so I don’t know what the apartments are like. The beds and umbrellas are the biggest negative, getting old, rusty and vent umbrellas and some beds are a bit more uncomfy than others. The hotel should really update these as they do detract from the otherwise beautiful hotel grounds.…
Thank you Chrissi Amouda! A well needed ‘break’ became so much more! From the minute we stepped in to reception, we knew we had picked the right place! Calm, relaxed, stress free holiday! Totally spoilt .. from personally delivered sunbirds, parasols, bar servers remembering drinks, waitresses remembering our favourite table, housemaids with a smile who insist on cleaning continuously. Whole facilities were immaculate!! Such a personally run hotel, which succeeds on a large scale! Pictures do no justice to how beautiful the setting is… we will be back, but first we have extended our stay, don’t want to leave (again thanks to extra efforts of reception and manager) thank you!!
Just came back from a week at this hotel , checkin was quick and receptonist was pleasant . Rooms were a nice size and clean , rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels Pool area was nice and big , if your wanting a sun bed I’d get down early as a few of my days I never got one with going down after 9am Food was ok but nothing special what so ever , my daughter enjoyed it as she’s happy eating pizza and chips everyday but I’m not !!!! Drinks were disgusting cheap beers and horrendous cocktails and also very cheap fizzy drinks / soda , thought it would have been better tbh as we had not long came back from a 4* holiday in turkey were all the drinks were named brands and cocktails were amazing !!! Entertainment was very boring also , so we ended up in the town most nights which is €9 in a taxi as there’s nothing around this hotel other than a supermarket and a excursions shop…
From the moment you arrive it’s a friendly and safe place for everyone - no matter what time of day (mostly night) you arrive. The hotel is immaculate as are the rooms - the outside it’s set out with small duplex apartments, eating areas, bars, entertainment area with a stage, there is also electric buggy assistance if needed. The staff all have unblemished uniforms in the lobby and kitchen service. Loads of different variety to eat and desserts with ice cream on tap with no queues. Pool area is again immaculate with a separate fenced off area for kids. Lots of food all day long with an on-site shop if you fancy something different to drink or need essentials. If you want to go outside you can walk down and onto the beach front (5 minutes) and along the beach road into shops and tavernas. Little train to take you on a journey into Herssonansos (14€). Taxis are expensive - 45€ into Heraklion which is 15 minutes away and 9€ into Herssnansos which is 5 minutes away. Some nice little beaches/coves along the way Not everyone wants to go outside their hotel when it’s all inclusive, but why not???…
We stayed at this hotel for 1 week, with 5 children. It was our first experience of an all inclusive hotel and we were very impressed. The food was amazing! Such a brilliant selection, and even our fussy 10 year old tried lots of new things. The food served by the pool from 11 am was brilliant, gyros, pizza etc. We were never disappointed. The staff at the hotel were so friendly, and made our stay even more enjoyable. From the reception staff, the security guard, the restaurant manager and the man in the shop. Everyone was so lovely, and always made an effort to talk to the kids. The entertainment during the day suited all of our kids ages, but there was no pressure to join in. A brilliant team running it. The accommodation was very comfortable. We stayed in a garden view bungalow, and they were perfectly located for us. The beds were very comfy, and the room felt very spacious. Thanks to all the staff at Chrissi Amoudia for such an amazing holiday, and we hope to come back very soon.…
