The Ionion is a ery reasonable hotel, clean rooms, affordable, and the location is perfect for all boats to the islands. The airco works OK. We paid only EUR 40 for a double room. Nothing fancy, but ideal for one night.

Extremely welcoming and friendly owner who was very helpful and spoke good English. Ideal location, only 1 block south of Piraeus Metro station and 50m from bus stop for X96 airport bus. Very clean family room for 5. Certainly not fancy, but very good value.

This place is valuable for its placement... Nothing else! We booked a "family room", with 5beds... 2 of which were just camping beds. (Posted picture of these...). I just slept on the materas layed on floor to avoid any back pain! Quality of the 5 matterasses where clearly out of use. The room was advirtised to be 35m2 on booking.com......

For an overnight stop over prior to a morning ferry, the Ionion Hotel, a budget hotel was a good choice. The owner was friendly and helpful in directions to ferry offices and restaurants. For a busy area, it was a quiet hotel. Staff helps with luggage because there is a large flight of stairs before the lift. Early ferry so...

We stayed three nights at the Ionion Hotel, two nights at the start and one at the end of our Island trip to Santorini in June 2015. The hotel is small and basic, but clean and safe, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It can be a little bit noisy when travellers arrive late at night or leave early...

It's near the port, only 2min. But thats all! Night staff is not so friendly and the room standard is poor. The man in the café was nice and fixed coffe and sandwich for the morning. If you only stay for a few hours it's okey! It's alsow near the X96 and the metro.

For only 50 euro, can't beat it. The location was perfect. Got this place since we were taking an early ferry from the port which happened to board across the street from the hotel. Upon check in, the receptionist didn't have our info. We used booking.com, but info didn't transfer. He got on phone with wonder and we got our...

The location of Ionion Hotel is very convenient if you need easy access to the harbor – actually, this was the reason for what I choose it. You can reach E7 Piraeus harbor gate in 10 min, walking, even with your luggage. It’s a family hotel, not very fancy and obviously just for transit - we were there only for...

My family of five (3 older teens) stayed at the Ionion twice in July 2014. We stayed the night before an early ferry, and upon arriving back at midnight after our trip to the islands. Pros - The owner was an absolute sweetie. Pointed us in the direction of a local souvlaki pita takeout place around the corner. Lots of...

A great location just next to the ferry terminal in Piraeus. The host was extraordinary when it comes to hospitality. The beds were good, but the room and bathroom in a below average condition. Price very reasonable so overall an good experience. NB: if you are picky with room quality I suggest you look somewhere else.
