The positive about this hotel is that it is within walking distance to all of the main attractions (Acropolis, Ancient Agora, etc.) and the metro. The room as well as the bathroom are decent, but they will certainly do. The biggest downside to the place is that the wifi is only in the main lobby. I'm aware that it is...

Pros: great price, good location - right in the middle of the city and easily walkable to all the sights, knowledgeable staff that can help you with transportation, good AC Cons: wifi only available in the lobby, mosquitoes in the room (this actually really bothered me), a showers and bathroom were a little dingy, but the sheets / bed were...

Hotel is located right in the centre of the town and easy access to most attractions. Staff at reception were friendly most times and were willing to help. I would not recommend having breakfast included as I dont think its worth the cost. There are better and more value for money options available around

Hotel is good located, everywhere is close. Breakfasts are like price, cheap and you shouldn't expect too much, but is enough. We had problem with reservation, but it was fixed very fast. The biggest advantage is the location of the hotel

The room and bathroom looked and felt very dirty, there was no wifi, and for some reason I didn't feel safe. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I was pickpocketed that morning on a train and had to spend half of my last day in Greece at the police station (which was also a HUGE waste...

When checking the reviews prior to booking, things seemed pretty mixed, which generally means to me that it will be ok, but not a fancy place. This is basically what we were looking for in a decent location, and a check of the map indicated this place was pretty close (less than 1.5 km) to the Acropolis, which was perfectly...

Room was fine & safe - found Athens very disappointing ; not a friendly city.Warn Travellers to keep away from the Oasis Cafe near Acropolis.Food is rubbish & blatantly over charging.34 euros for a vile meal & glass of lemon. Also, beware of food in Kashmir opposite Elite Hotel ; l was violently ill after eating there !

I would say apart of the never ending street noise, no Wi-Fi and that you need to pay extra 70€ for the parking, the hotel itself is not that bad. Yes, the staff is a bit weird and not that helpful, but we had google so no problems there. We stayed there for 6 nights but we barely been there,...

Noisy, on the main road, limited security. This hotel in Omonia should only be visited at your own peril. We went as a group and although we had a conjoining triple room the quality of the room was awful. It is badly painted with paint coming off the walls. Many of the electrical points didn't work. There were blankets, not...

Staying in Omonia

Neighbourhood Profile
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
