Visited athena for first time. Needed simple, cheap, clean place. Bam, athos. I can see acropolis from my room, small, simple room. 1 minute walk to syntaga square for bus from athena airport. Only 5 Euro bus ride. I was so close to all ruins. And shopping. Amazing. If with family, not ideal, but single or couple, it works. Also,...

My family stayed here, the aircon did not work, the manager said it did, the room smelled like stale tobacco, they watched like a hawk come breakfast time, not to eat to much, views promised but we weren't allowed on the balcony, I could not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The best of Athens is outside of your hotel room, keeping this on mind Athos is a very good hotel to explore the most interessant part of the city. Athos is close to the main sites and close to the metro and to the bus to airport at the Syntagma Square, so it is very easy to arrive and go....

Very good location near Syntagma square, Acropolis and Plaka. Very friendly and helpful staff. Street rooms have got balconies but not very good view, rooms at the back haven't got balconies but very good view of Acropolis. Very nice roof garden. However, overpriced, breakfast not included in the very high price they charged, and they even charged us 1 euro...

The hotel is situsted in Plaka, you can walk around to the important landmarks from there. You have a view of the Acropolis from their terrace. We had the family room which has a view to the street , it can be a little bit noisy at night because of the restaurant across the street. I caught a glimpse of...

Pros: + location: in Plaka, close to everything, on a street with very little traffic, if any; + clean; + our room was quite big; Cons: - the wifi is free, but slow (and sometimes disconnected unexpectedly); - theakfast does not offer much choice (but this is normal for a small hotel)

Offering a price and changing it after confirmation is cheating, stealing and the most unacceptable behaviour i ever saw. Choose something else. They offered premium, delivered standard on the price of premium! Funny people.

The people that runs the hotel are super friendly and nice. They will go the extra mile to help you with anything you need at anytime. I was there with two friends and they really made us feel comfortable. The rooms were nice and clean. The location is superb, the view of the Acropolis from the terrace is amazing, and...

Very nice hotel for the price, good location, but don't expect a Marriott . The owner and staff were always helpful, even arranged transportation to the port for us. The rooms are very, very small, but clean. Not much of a view from the rooms we seen. The beds were as hard as a rock, no pillow tops here. The beds...

This is a basic hotel in the center of Athens: 1) Simple but clean rooms with quite a small bathroom 2) Wi-Fi for free 3) Safety box for a small charge 4) Personnel could be a little bit more friendly. 5) Breakfast is too poor, in my opinion. And teabags (as well as boiled water) are provided only on demand....

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
