AVA Hotel Athens garners accolades for its pristine, spacious rooms adorned with modern conveniences and kitchenettes, as noted by numerous guests. The staff's friendly and professional service, always ready to enhance visitors' experiences, is frequently commended.
While the hotel's amenities, including the comfortable bedding and prime location near historical sites, receive consistent praise, the on-site tasting restaurant has underwhelmed some patrons. Nonetheless, the overall inviting atmosphere and scrupulous cleanliness contribute to its reputation as a hotel that offers good value.

Detailed Reviews
This was one of the best hotels we stayed in during out two weeks travels in Italy and Europe. Reception is incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in. After about ten minutes in our room, we heard a knock on the door and it was reception with a complimentary bottle of wine and a welcome note. Just a lovely way to start the stay.
The room is fantastic. We had the regular suite and it was the biggest room of our trip. Modern, clean, and exceedingly comfortable. Athens is HOT in the summer and the AC runs like a dream. Bed was very comfortable and loved the kitchenette. The small balcony was also a great addition.
Location is ideal. In the heart of everything, yet removed just enough to allow you space from the throngs of tourists. We did not need a cab our entire stay and found great dining options a short walk away in the Koukaki neighborhood. Reception kindly arranged airport transports for us, including a 5:30am cab, which was so helpful. We will absolutely return and I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

We arrive at the Ava Hotel after a 10 day cruise. In spite of the fact it was 10:30 in the morning, we were welcomed with open arms, our luggage was stored and we were invited to return when we needed to relax. We were tired and returned before check in to find our delightful suite ready and waiting with our luggage delivered.
We felt so at home in this lovely hotel and the bedding/seating in the suite is very comfortable. Each day they offer a sumptuous breakfast buffet (extra charge) with both traditional and Greek food choices.
The location is ideal because you can walk to many of the tourist attractions one must visit in Athens and plenty of shopping and dining facilities are also nearby.
Ava arranged transportation for us several times and the only time we used another taxi service is the time we got fleeced by they driver. Trust them at the hotel, they will take care of you!
We actually spent a week on another island after our two day stay, and decided to return to the Ava before leaving for home. When I returned and was again so graciously welcomed, I felt I had returned home. That evening I even encountered an employee I had meet previously and had chatted with when I got a glass of wine at the bar in the hotel one evening. She called to me across crowded walkway to say hello and hugged me and welcomed me back to Athens. I consider this one of my premiere hotel travel experiences!

We are a retired couple who stayed at this hotel for 4 nights while visiting Athens. The front desk was welcoming, friendly, efficient, and helpful. The room was spacious (we chose one of the larger rooms), very quiet at night, comfortable bed, good room lighting (which you don't always find in a hotel room), and good-sized bathroom. The kitchenette was a real plus and well equipped including both a Nespresso machine and drip-machine for coffee. The room was perfectly cleaned every day, including the kitchenette. The breakfast offered varied offerings ... both hot and cold ... and well served. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the Acropolis and to the city's main sites. In summary, the hotel is worthy of every praise.

OK, I'm not Greek, but I've been coming to Greece since about 2005, and AVA HOTEL AND SUITES is always the hotel we return to for at least a few nights. Why? The location is smack in the center of Plaka, so you are close to all tourist sites plus tons of fun shopping and wonderful tavernas. The rooms are real suites with a mini-kitchen, which is almost as good as having your own private apartment in the center of Athens. The beds, the ac, the bathroom are all high quality, and some street side rooms have terraces with close up views of The Acropolis. And then there's the amazing staff. No request is too much, the level of help is beyond what we've ever found at most hotels in all our years of traveling. To top if off, there's a lovely breakfast every morning to start your day off right. Book this hotel if you're looking for one of the best boutique experiences in Athens. You won't be sorry!

I stayed in AVA Boutique Hotel Athens for 3 nights - it was my first time in Athens and I found the location very convenient for exploring historical sights by foot and going out for dinner to local tavernas.
The room was very clean & comfortable, I especially enjoyed cozy bathrobe and great coffee in the morning!
I always consider the team as the face of the business and AVA's team was very knowledgable, welcoming and friendly.
If I am ever in Athens, I will be staying in AVA again :)

AVA is the hotel with the most friendly, most helpful and super service-oriented staff! The rooms are spacious, very tastefully decorated and fully equipped. Separate bedroom with excellent beds and everyting is super clean. The location in Plaka is perfect, quiet, overlooking the Acropolis and the temple of Zeus. Breakfast is a real party, everyone can experience their favourite start of the day here.

this small boutique hotel was perfect in every way, location was so close to everything and the entire staff was so pleasant and helpful.
Maria and the full crew were very helpful, knowledgeable and made perfect suggestions of places to eat and things to do.
It was a 5 minute walk to the parthenon and shopping and restaurants. rooms were very comfortable, roomy and even sent each of our friends a bottle of champagne when we checked in! first class all the way :)

AVA Hotel has an ideal location in Plaka near the Acropolis and other sites as well as many excellent restaurants. Still, it was on a quiet street away from the noise. We opted for the special Athens Experience Package which provided tickets to the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum and other perks as well. Our Executive Suite (Room 201) was the perfect choice for a four-day stay as it was so spacious and luxurious, with extras like a small kitchenette (with Nespresso machine) and DVD movies available to watch. The spacious bathroom had both a bathtub with shower and a separate shower. Vassia at reception was always helpful and inquiring of our needs. The breakfast buffet was great. The only drawback is that the view from our balcony was not the best hotel view of the Acropolis, but it was still nice to view both the Acropolis and Hadrian's Arch from our room.

AVA is a hidden gem at the heart of Plaka, the “neighborhood of the gods.” Hotel’s location is perfect. Our family of 4 availed of the Experience Athens package, at an executive suite; daily breakfast buffet included and tickets to the Acropolis slopes and the museum, as well as food vouchers for a free Greek meal at Oionos Café and Bar. AVA also arranged our excellent roundtrip airport transfers with professional and prompt drivers. Customer service was truly exceptional and personalized, all the way from booking and throughout our stay. Our suite, RM 101, was very spacious and clean, equipped with a kitchenette and Nespresso coffee maker. It had a nice balcony with an Acropolis view to the right and Hadrian’s Arch to the left. Good-sized bathroom had 2 showers and had a beautiful painted skylight. Breakfast buffet was deliciously prepared with a huge selection offered. Plaka is so charming and all lit up for Christmas at every corner. We walked everywhere, and a very clean suite always welcomed us back at the end of each day. We felt welcome here and truly taken care of. Special thanks to Maria, Vasia, Panagiota for their hospitality and the very nice breakfast attendant who warmly greeted us every morning. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and would love to return!

This hotel is in a great location. Close to the subway and many places to eat and visit. It is also close to a place to get a COVID test. Got a really good deal that included a free dinner at one specific restaurant, free breakfast (they bring the food to your room), and laptop safe that would fit small and medium size laptops; may not fit a large.
Thi s is a non-smoking hotel and did not smell any smoke at all. The staff was really really excellent.
I did not expect to arrive at the hotel before check in time but it did not pose a problem. Their recommendations of places to eat were right on. Hotel is close to other major landmakrs such as Acropolos museum and Hadrian's Arch.
The only part I did not enjoy was the thermostat. I was not able to have the ventilation on all the time until the second to last day of my stay. The room was still quiet despie this. My guess is because there were not many guests until the second to last day..
Prices were reasnable probably due to COVID. If I were to visit Athens, I would definitely stay here again. Keep up the good work everyone!!!! Staff did ask for vaccine card. Great views of the Acropolis of Athens.

As the previous person has said hot and cold. Cereals, toast, pastries plenty to chose from. Lovely hotel.
There are rooms with 2 beds and other rooms with 1 bed and sofa bed.
20 euros for 5 pairs of underwear and 5 pairs of socks (I think)

Washington DC, District of Columbia32 contributions2 helpful votesIs the airport shuttle available in mid April and what is the cost for one adult and one teen?
I do not know about a shuttle from the airport but a regular cab will be around $60 or so. It’s a rather long drive of about 45 minutes or so depending on the time and traffic. I actually used a private car which is more expensive but a wonderful choice.
