Really we stay in a perfect hotel, Ava is one of those. It is highly ranked and our expectations were high. Reality was higher than our highest exprctations. Starting with a perfect location, just close to everything but located on a very quiet street. The best attentive sevice from everyone of the wonderful staff. And last but not least a perfect 1 bedroom suite room including a small kitchenette (room 103). Highly recommended.
The best hotel ever in Greece. Service was wonderful and I upgraded my room and had the view and a balcony of the Acropolis!!!!!!! It was wonderful they had a pool too. Best place to stay in Athens. They had completely delicious breakfast. Was a amazing stay and visit.
I recently visited Athens with my wife and kids. We stayed at the AVA hotel and loved it. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to help us whenever they could. My 7-year-old had a birthday while in Athens and they helped me get her a cake and had it up in our room at the time we requested. The hotel was close to all the sights we wanted to see. They also coordinated airport pickup and drop-off which was super helpful after a 15-hour travel day. I wouldn't even consider a different hotel if I ever head back to Athens, I would stay at the AVA again in a heartbeat.
AVA is a hidden gem at the heart of Plaka, the “neighborhood of the gods.” Hotel’s location is perfect. Our family of 4 availed of the Experience Athens package, at an executive suite; daily breakfast buffet included and tickets to the Acropolis slopes and the museum, as well as food vouchers for a free Greek meal at Oionos Café and Bar. AVA also arranged our excellent roundtrip airport transfers with professional and prompt drivers. Customer service was truly exceptional and personalized, all the way from booking and throughout our stay. Our suite, RM 101, was very spacious and clean, equipped with a kitchenette and Nespresso coffee maker. It had a nice balcony with an Acropolis view to the right and Hadrian’s Arch to the left. Good-sized bathroom had 2 showers and had a beautiful painted skylight. Breakfast buffet was deliciously prepared with a huge selection offered. Plaka is so charming and all lit up for Christmas at every corner. We walked everywhere, and a very clean suite always welcomed us back at the end of each day. We felt welcome here and truly taken care of. Special thanks to Maria, Vasia, Panagiota for their hospitality and the very nice breakfast attendant who warmly greeted us every morning. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and would love to return!…
My wife and I have been fortunate enough to stay in many lovely hotels around the world and this is definately up there with them, in terms of quality of accomodation, breakfast and location. What really made the difference for us is how friendly and helpful the staff are, we could not have asked for more. Breakfast is varied and tasty, but there is not a hotel restaurant, but you can order food in. There are probably 20 places to eat within five minutes walk though, so not an issue at all. We had one of the suites with a living area, kitchen and private terrace, definately the right choice for longer stays. It was all very confortable and well put together. Location is superb, all of the obvious sites are a few minutes walk away, and the hotel is at the edge of the Plaka district which is a very walkable area. Top tip for getting around Athens - don't bother with taxis or public transport, there are often quiet and interesting back ways through parks, historic areas and a pedestrian area all around the Acropolis complex and Agora.…
Nice clean hotel excellent location. Good breakfast. Helping stuff. Their package included tickets for the Acropolis and a tradition dinner. All attraction and transportation close by.The gave Us late checkout without charge and explained everything.
Everything about this wonderful Greek hotel left us dreaming about a return trip. The staff, particularly Panagiota, welcomed us like family and answered every question we had. You will find the location perfect for walking the Plaka and visiting all the major sites.
We are a retired couple who stayed at this hotel for 4 nights while visiting Athens. The front desk was welcoming, friendly, efficient, and helpful. The room was spacious (we chose one of the larger rooms), very quiet at night, comfortable bed, good room lighting (which you don't always find in a hotel room), and good-sized bathroom. The kitchenette was a real plus and well equipped including both a Nespresso machine and drip-machine for coffee. The room was perfectly cleaned every day, including the kitchenette. The breakfast offered varied offerings ... both hot and cold ... and well served. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the Acropolis and to the city's main sites. In summary, the hotel is worthy of every praise.
We stayed at the Ava Hotel for a few days as part of a family vacation. The location is really prime; a block away from the bustle of the Plaka neighborhood. Walking distance to Hadrian’s Arch, Zeus’s Temple, the Panathenaic Stadium, and other neighborhoods of interest. We had 2 rooms for our family, an Executive Suite plus a Standard Suite for my mom. The Executive Suite had a bedroom plus a living room with pull-out couch for our kid to sleep on, and in the living area there is a mini kitchen and desk. Good amount of space; not updated but pleasant. It faced the road and had a balcony from which you could see Hadrian’s Gate at one end of the street, and the Acropolis over the other. No balcony furniture, which seems like a waste because it would be so pleasant to sit out there. The Standard Suite was one room with a kitchenette. There is an elevator (very small!). Breakfast not included in the room price, we had it twice and it was fine. It was a very nice stay right in the heart of Athens; the location is really the prime selling”0 point here.…
we wanted walking distance to everything. the acropolis is literally next to you! the hotel is tucked in a tiny quiet street and so that is peace in the midst of glory. the rooms are nice size and well proportioned and the staff are super friendly! i needed an electric outlet adapter and they gave me one with usb charging abilities—perfect! very lovely hotel. definitely the one best hotel in Athens if i want a quick easy visit!!
