Everything was perfect! What a wonderful hotel! It is in a great part of town with the friendliest staff. The hotel is small and charming, with clean well-decorated rooms. Great wi-fi. Breakfast was delicious -- lots to choose from. Great location -- close to everything. Thank you very much for an unforgettable experience in Greece.

This hotel deserves its name. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Our room was pleasant, breakfast on the top floor was very good, the location is perfect for all the main attractions. There is a delightful family atmosphere.

We had a very pleasant stay! The hotel is wonderful in spite of the appearance of the street. Our room was amazing with a nice view and great design! Breakfast was very tasty with a lot of choices! The location was excellent and the staff very helpful and kind.

Despite the appearance of the street, the hotel is amazing. A small door, a steep staircase and arrive at the front desk of a small hotel. Friendly staff, perfect rooms (albeit a bit small) but clean and comfortable.Full breakfast and rich in elements. Perfect location, close to Plaka, Monastiraki, Syntagma Square. Highly recommended.

We stayed 6 nights, the lady that check us in, (sorry I forgot your name) is wonderful- she gave us 6 restaurants to choose from with breakdowns in price and cuisine!! She literally carried our 30 kgs suitcase up to the 1st floor, amazing!! Owners, do not let her go!! All our requests were met, and extra table to set...

The sweet home hotel was simply amazing. The hotel is as per its name more like a home. All the staff and management are nice and friendly and willing to give advice. The property was nice and clean, so was the room and the bathroom. The included breakfast was also very nice, with a good variety and great coffee. All...

Book this after reading multiple reviews and it lived up to the expectations. It is located within walking distance of everything you want to see and the staff was really helpful and had great advice on where to eat.

Sweet home hotel is definitely home away from home. We loved the place the moment we stepped in. Very sweet and cosy with warm friendly staff attending to our every need. We stayed in the connecting room and the bed was extremely comfortable!! Room was clean with modern toilet and exquisite toiletries. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning !...

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
