The hotel had everything we needed for a short 2 night stay in athens doing the usual sightseeing and having a couple of good nights out. 5' walk from monastiraki and 15' from akropolis, metro station 5' away, bars, restaurants and fast food places all around. Didn't need any transport. Don't be put off by the grafiti in the area...

The hotel is perfectly located near Monastirakis square, Gazi, and all major attractions. I bought a bike and was able to move around Athens & Pireaus with no problem (people are very respectful of bikes). The staff is brilliant, they give you sound advice, the one locals use. Everything is cleaned every day. My room (medium size, hot water all...

Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, clean and the air-con worked, thank god,it was sooo hot outside! The rooftop bar and views were an added bonus. And excellent value for money. ***If you are worried about the area I found that if you took the 1st street on the right when you head right out of the hotel, leads to psiri square...

A lot of historical locations are in the walking distance, this means we could save time and enjoyed watching sites of city. We also enjoyed watching Parthenon from the hotel veranda anytime, day and night. The staff was very trained and helpful as well as kind, they do know well what is the service. Taking the above into concideration, as...

The hotel is a short walk from Monastaraki Station as explained by other reviewers, and has all the other benefits that have been mentioned. The area may look a little seedy, but there was never any feeling of danger. AND what could be better than eating your breakfast or having an evening drink with a fabulous view of the Acropolis...

Stayed here for three nights. It's a nice place from which to access the Acropolis and other sites in the area. Clean though basic rooms. It had the amenities we needed with A/C, wi-fi in the rooms, and a good breakfast.

If you arrive on foot from the Metro station at Monistiraki I am afraid your heart will sink as you see how the area starts to deteriorate as you aproach the hotel. This area is the old Market and spice centre which is sadly neglected and now occupied by asian traders. The area has great character and is apparently listed...

A clean, friendly hotel within easy walking distance of virtually all the places you might want to visit.  Don't be put off by what others have said about the location. As a woman travelling alone I had no problems at all in the neighbourhood which seems to be home to an eclectic mix of people; there is a mini China...

I was looking for a clean, well-run hotel for four nights in Athens, and this turned out to be a very good choice at a fair price. The staff were very helpful and friendly during the reservation process by email, and also in person during my stay. I had a very decent-sized single room, with a comfortable bed, good bathroom,...

This is a really great hotel. very friendly, service excellent and located close to Monistiraki Metro station which is served by the line to Piraeus for when you want to go off island hopping and the line to the airport so no need for expensive taxis when arriving or departing. It is also very handy for all the wonderful ancient...
