It's hard to beat the location but the staff is unfriendly with the exception of the women at breakfast. The room was updated and clean but the bathrooms are incredibly small. The walls are paper thin, if someone turns on the tv the next room over it sounds like it's in your room. Hot water runs out as well, so...

This hotel is a disgrace for Plaka. Dirty, noisy rooms and a terrible illegally-built and unsafe rooftop construction. Hotels like this should be demolished. Stay away, it's probably the most unsafe building in Athens.

The room was neat and clean, the balcony had a view of Acropolis. Hotel is ideally located near a Metro station, the Parthenon and the districts of Thission, Monastiraki and Plaka. Breakfast is served in the beautiful roof garden on the 4th floor.

I can't select ZERO and I would if I could. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. Primarily we received the wrong room, even though we booked a double and wrote to them telling them it was our honeymoon. However, we would have accepted this without the following circumstances. After 8weeks of travel, we had learnt a few things. We checked...

The location was walking distance to everything in Athens. The newly opened rooftop patio was a great place for dinner- we ate there both of the nights we were in Athens. The staff was neutral- not amazing, not rude. They still operate on an old school paper and pen system, so I was slightly nervous about our reservation when we...

There was nothing good about our hotel room. It was not worth the price. Room was full of mosquitos (and no we didn't open the windows). Dark. Tiny shower with broken plastic walls. Bad, bad, bad. Would never go back. Location is good and I guess that is how they rent rooms.

The hotel was in a good position but unfortunately the room was very old with shabby furniture. Reception staff weren't very friendly either. Breakfast was basic but to be expected as the hotel is a budget one.

Not fancy or new but a great location, people were very nice, big room, free internet, air conditioning. Simple but great breakfast on rooftop with beautiful view. Right in the middle of shops, restaurants and tourists. Walk to many attractions.

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
