I have to say I was nervous about staying at The President after all of the bad reviews but seriously, it isn't as bad as people make out (obviously in my opinion) Yes the hotel is popular with tour groups but I don't understand why it's such a bad thing. You're in the middle of a busy city on a... More

This would have to be the worst hotel we have ever stayed at in all my years travelling. The foyer is grand and spectacular but all down hill from there. POOL the pool is on the roof and nice however the requirement to have pool towels after leaving a min deposit of €10 is annoying. There are large umbrellas for... More

I only selected this hotel as the others I usually use in this area were all full. I was aware that the reviews aren't particulaly great so was expecting some issues Let's start with the positives. The redeeming feature has to be the roof top pool and it provides a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of Athens. It... More

The best days of this establishment are historical with little sign of any investment or updating. The rooms were plain, plain, plain except for the numerous stains on the ancient carpet. Breakfast was substantial, albeit is a zoo-like atmosphere. The staff were helpful and friend, but could't overcome the drabness and air of decay. I left after a day .... More

We stayed there for 3 nights after being booked through a travel agency. The check in process was a bit slow but acceptable. The rooms were adequate in size and had an attached bathroom which were well maintained, neat and clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable and so was the aircon. The view was superb. There was no water,... More

In my opinion, this hotel is one of the best choices a traveller can make if he stays in historical Athens! it's located in a very good spot with metro and bus stations very close, with comfortable rooms, with well decorated facilities, with tasty breakfast and helpful staff, with a roof garden absolutely magnificent (pool, breathtaking views of Acropolis, Lycabetus... We stay here for 2 night. Our first impression of the hotel is too old. Most if the decoration is old and do not keep so well. The room do not provide any mini bar and even a water pot. And the phone is broken at the room so even u want to call room services is impossible... From 2am... More

Above average hotel suitable for shortish stays. Popular with tour groups so if you happen to arrive at the same time expect some delays. Room was OK - furniture was a mix of ageing chairs and ikea desks and wardrobes. Not too much storage space so a couple staying a week would struggle. Bed was medium - not too soft... More
