Very friendly people. Nice room with balcony and screening. We didn't need the air conditioner, but we did need our earplugs, because of the street noise. The bed is nice and firm and the wifi is good. Small but efficient bathroom. Very good breakfast on a very nice rooftop terrace with a splendid view on the Akropolis. The neighborhood is...

The hotel is bright, fresh and very clean. Reception staff are very helpful. Views from the roof terrace are great. Located in an area close to the polytechnic means that there are plenty of good value restaurants in the area. The Saturday fruit market is well worth a visit and this is to be found on the next street at...

This hotel is cool! The atmosphere, the home-made food, the view, the cool guys running the hotel: this all is amazing. Rooms are clean, quiet, very nice interior. Balcony! Breakfast on the roof-top made my day.

A very generous 6 euros buffet breakfast . Very clean and in an area full of restaurants, coffees and bars. All the staff very kind and...

Perfect if you want to stay on a young and savage neighborhood. The streets are plenty of graffiti the people is very friendly and at night you can find lots of young people having fun without disturbing. The location is good if you like to walk to enjoy the city...you will arrive to the old city in about 15-20 min....

The owners of the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Hotel is 10 mins walk away to the center. We stayed at the hotel with our 2 kids which was perfectly fine. We recommend this hotel. Terrace was the best place to see Athens other than Acropolis. Cute coffee shops and very arty scenery around.

Staying in Exarchia

Neighbourhood Profile
Exarchia
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
