I like Attalos Hotel very much. I will definitely recommend it to all my friends and family members.

First, Location, location and Location. The location of Attalos hotel is so convenient to everything. Basically, you could walk to the Acropolis and the museum just about 15 minutes and less than 25 minutes to all the important attractions. It is also next to a metro station and you can take the metro from and to the airport. (just Euro 10 for one way) There are so many good restaurants nearby. It is also located in a safe neighborhood in the central of Athens.

Secondly, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff, the cleaning ladies and the serving ladies in the Cafeteria were all smiling and professional. Everyone there loved to help you out.

Thirdly, the service was excellent. The room was very clean and cozy. They even provided the paper slipper. Also, don't forget to enjoy the roof review during the day or night where you could see the Acropolis. They provided the hop-on and off tickets and would answer all the questions about the day trips.

I love the hotel and will come back to stay in this hotel when I visit Athens next time.

From the moment you step off the busy commercial street you step into a place of calm.
Rooms are compact, comfortable and immaculately clean (with slippers). Same with bathroom. This family run hotel is in the perfect location to walk to everything you’d want to see and do in Athens.
Breakfast is great (and under covid situation no stress!).
Particular staff mentions are the lovely Angela and rooftop barman.
To top it all off, an ouzo or two in the rooftop bar whilst watching the sun set on the Acropolis is the ‘must’ of a lifetime.
In short, the stay here is worth every penny!

This was a great stay for us and our family. The hotel is conveniently located near many popular sights and eateries in Athens and most were within a 10-20 minute walk. The nearby Monastiraki metro station made it easy to get to and from the airport as well.

The rooms are nicely appointed with a couple of chairs, work station, coffee/tea station, closet, mini fridge and TV. The beds were small but comfy enough. Our family had a 2 and 3 bed rooms and we found the 2 bed room was a lot more spacious. The bathrooms in both were small but we appreciated that the hot water came on quickly and there was a small window for ventilation. Our room was quiet at night but our family noted street noise on the lower floors. The elevators were often tricky to catch as they are small but we appreciated it when we didn't feel like the climb to the sixth floor.

The amenities at the hotel were good for the price. The roof top patio and bar area was a highlight and we enjoyed a couple of afternoons up here watching the sun set and the lights turn on at the Acropolis. The prices of the bar were inexpensive and they had a good variety of options. There was a sitting room that had tea and coffee midday and they kept it open in the evening so we were able to sit together and talk. They had laundry service, baggage storage and could help arrange tours or car hires as well at the front desk with their friendly and welcoming staff.

The breakfast at this hotel was very good for the price. They had something for everyone and lots of place to sit. Highlights for us were the Greek yoghurt and the spinach and feta stuffed pastries. They also had mini sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, feta cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, breads, baklava, croissants, dried fruits, fresh fruits, juices and a coffee machine. We looked forward to breakfast each morning.

The hotel provided a good base for exploring and was centrally located. We would say if you're looking to save money and have a good breakfast to start your day in Athens this hotel is a good choice.

Recently stayed here for the first time and was pleasantly impressed. The central location can’t be beat. You can even take the metro from the airport to the Monastiraki station — which is steps away from the hotel. The 24 hour front desk staff were all pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are modern, bright and clean. The beds are comfortable and the linens are top notch. (The towels are especially plush.). Rooms with balconies allow for smoking – but only on the balconies. The roof garden and bar are cozy and the view of the Acropolis is to die for. They also survey good breakfast at a fair price – which is also how I would describe the room pricing. There’s even a quiet sitting room with coffee and tea available.

I know that hotels and other businesses have been struggling through the economic crisis and the Covid pandemic. However I would like to mildly chide the management for using shampoo, body wash and soaps that are made in China. There are plenty of Greek companies that produce these products and I believe it helps everyone if Greek businesses support one another, even if there is a small price differential.

All in all I definitely plan to return again in the future and thank the hotel for making my visit a pleasant one.

Dear Synetos, Thank you so much for your wonderful high score review you posted for us on Tripadvisor. It is great to read that you totally enjoyed your stay and our service. We keep your suggestion you made to us about the amenities. The company we supply is Greek but imports from China like most companies. We always prefer Greek products that's why we offer Greek breakfast with authorized Greek products. It was a pleasure to have you in our hotel. We really look forward to welcome you again in the future. Kind regards Kostas Zisis Attalos Hotel Manager

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We had a few queries before the trip, which were answered very quickly with helpful information. The staff were very friendly and informative, with things to do and eat around Athens. The location is excellent with plenty of restaurants, cafe's and shops around- it is around 20-25 minute walk from the acropolis. The view at the roof top bar was fabulous.

The only two negative's about this hotel was that the bathrooms are very small, specifically the shower. As well as the hotel can be quite noisy at night with people talking outside of the rooms and banging the doors. Although this is inevitable in a city location.

No, this is not a 5 star hotel in terms of beauty, but it is certainly 5 stars in comfort and service. I have stayed here 5 times and have always felt incredibly welcome and important. The hotel itself is probably 3+ stars. The rooms are comfortable and those with balconies have a nice view of the Acropolis. And the rooftop garden bar! The view of the Acropolis is unbelievable and the bar, which is open after 4 pm, is reasonably priced. There is also a lounge with computers and a tv. The rooms have tv's but no English channels. My last visit, I needed bubble wrap and couldn't find it anywhere. The hotel manager walked me to a hardware store and had them give me what I needed from their own packing materials! The staff is always available to give suggestions and directions. The location is perfect! You're in Psiri and in a 5 minute walk, you are in the Plaka. The Pita House directly across the street has great food, too!

This hotel is located very centrally in Athens, within walking distance of the Acropolis and just five minutes away from the main square. The breakfast was also generous, with cooked items as well as pastries, cake, yogurt and salad. Check out the rooftop bar because it has an amazing view of the Acropolis, especially at night time. The rooms are simple, but clean. Although it took a while to hear up, the shower was powerful and there were some free toiletries. There is also a fridge (although noisy at night) and a secure safe (ours had a key though, so be sure not to lose it).

However, our stay was greatly affected by a large cohort of students on a school trip staying on our floor. We had to put up with loud voices, music and banging doors from 9pm until past midnight, and this was even through wearing ear plugs! They were also up early around half 6-7am. I had to call the hotel reception every single night at around half 10-11pm. To their credit, the hotel staff did ask them to be quiet and the students were apologetic. However, the noise happened night after night and we had to be proactive about going to the hotel staff each time. There was also no apology to us from the hotel staff, it was almost like it was par the course and they didn't care about our experience. The floors only have about 10 rooms each and we were the only ones on the floor who weren't students! It seems ridiculous that they would put adult guests on the same floor, they must know about the noise every time a school stays.

My advice would be not to stay in March, or ask the hotel not to be put on the same floor as any school trips!

We stayed for 3 nights. Hotel is perfectly located, 2 minutes walk from Monastiraki Square. Direct metro in 40 minutes from the airport.

Very welcoming staff, basic but clean rooms, great value for the price. Great views over the city from the rooftop bar which isn't expensive either.

Most major sites are within walking distance and there are lots of good eating and drinking spots nearby.

We'd stay again if ever back in Athens

I loved this hotel! From the moment we arrived late at night, we were greeted by a warm gentleman at the reception. We booked a double room with a balcony for 5 nights. We happened to be spending our anniversary night there and were given the best room in the hotel (on the top floor with a direct view of the acropolis). Thank you! It was clean, the beds were comfortable. I slept really well. There was no kettle in the room but upon asking, we were provided with one immediately. When we needed to weigh our luggage before leaving, they loaned us a weighing scale. We were informed clearly where we can get a PCR test (about a 5-10 min walk from the hotel). Nothing was a problem, the service was really top notch. It is great value for money. Yes it is a little dated but it is a gem of a find given the location and service. We booked without breakfast as there are plenty of cafes and restaurants in the area, there’s a hipster coffee place right across the street (dope). Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again if I returned to Athens.

Hi SaloniW. I'm not sure about the outside area of the rooftop bar, but as it has in 'inside' area that can be protected from bad weather but still has an amazing view of the Acropolis, I suspect it is open all year round. I also can't confirm yes to your questions as I didn't see any during our stay. The best option is to contact the Attalos Hotel directly. Their team is really helpful and friendly, and respond quite quickly to emails.
