I came here with my 2 siblings and my parents and we really enjoyed it! For my mum, the most important thing about holidays is the rooftop terrace so this was very nice for her. For me, the most important thing is the shopping so this place was perfect to stay as it is not far away from shops. My...

It was short but sweet stay. The location is excellent. In the heart of the city but very silent. Well placed rooms. Wonderful view from the Rooftop restaurant. Athena is just amazing night view from here. Friendly staff.

I found the staff to be exceptionally professional, friendly and helpful. The room was great, spacious and we had a balcony with lovely views of the Acropolis. Hotel is in easy walking distance to the tour busses and we walked up to the Acropolis.

The Electra Palace is exceptionally well placed for visiting the major historical and archaeological sites of Athens, and represents the finest aspects of a first-rate international hotel: its staff are superb advisors for the practical, for the aesthetic, and for the cultural involvement of the city and of the nation at any level the guests might desire. The rooftop restaurant...

In the heart of Placa, a full immersion in old Athens. Excellent location for strolling and shopping, and for historical tours to the Parthenon and the Acropolis sites. Rooms and facilities are clean and very elegant, morning breakfast a real treat. The staff is kind and helpful, and room views from top-floor suites simply breathtaking. A small but cozy open-door...

We've just had a wonderful time at the Electra Palace. It's very well situated at the edge of the Plaka, so it's easy to walk to ancient sites - the Acropolis (and the new museum), the Agora, etc. We took a taxi to Keramikos, which is a bit further but well worth a visit and also to the National Archaeological...

If I can recommend one thing to anyone considering this hotel it is that you should absolutely pay for a room with the view of the acropolis. My girlfriend and I were able to lay in our bed and view the wonderful entirety of the acropolis. It was absolutely stunning. In addition to the beautiful views... the room, staff, and...

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
