Was surprised, I must admit. Didn't expect such a nice hotel in the center of Athens. The hotel was very clean, large rooms, comfy beds, great great great (did I say great) view of the Acropolis, delicious breakfast and great and friendly staff. What else could I ask for? Only problem, the elevators (lift). Slow, small and uncomfortable. But otherwise,...

Hotel was a clean, well kept one, with a comfortable bed and modern decor. We were a large group of friends and had 5 rooms between us. The couple who had the room facing the Parthenon were overheaeting due to the fact that the sun never leaves the room, the hotel a/c unit was not set to the cold setting...

There are some very good things about this hotel, but a couple bad things, so your experience will likely depend on what you need from a hotel, and whether you can work around its shortcomings. First off, the good: The location is fantastic. Steps away from the Monastiraki Metro station (on line 3 which connects directly to the airport), a...

All rooms are like studios. Very big with kitchenette, extra sofas, etc. Bed and bath linen as well as all toiletries changed every day. The best bar of Athens on the 6th floor with a fantastic view of the Acropolis and almost 360 degree view of Athens. Staff always smiling, VERY polite and helpful. Due to availability we were checked-in...

This bar must have the best view in Athens, it is at the top of the tallest building, directly overlooking the Acropolis. Drinks and snacks similar price and range as other bars in the area. Come here for the view and to watch the world go by beneath you.

This hotel is is a short walk away from the acropolis and many historical sites. Rooms are modern and clean. Breakfast was also great, and there is a beautiful view of the acropolis! The only downside is that noise from outside the hotel is easily heard in the rooms at night. Overall, its still a great place to stay and...

Stayed here on a business trip, Jan-Feb time so a bit chilly in Athens! This hotel is above one of the metro stations so you can easily get here direct from the airport on the metro. Well situated near the Flea Market tourist district, and the view from the rooftop restaurant (where breakfast is served) is fab. Walking distance to...

Incredible view to the Akropolis! Nice rooms, modern, at night the restaurant works like bar, excellent music, with a deck with a view to the Akropolis. Also, the hotel is in a great location, in front at Metro, and near Plaka (historic place).

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
