This hotel is fabulous. It's in the heart of Athens and walking distance to all the main attractions. The staff are all very friendly. The room was great size and had everything we needed. Also very clean. Breakfast was wonderful with great selections. Would definitely return to this hotel.

Terrific hotel. There are two buildings, one across the street from the other, walking distance from the Plaka and lots of restaurant and shops. Very comfy rooms, but the showers take a little bit of investigating to get to work. At least my friends thought so! The breakfast is nice, but has no view.

A single door on the street that's easy to miss, however the reception is across the street and quite easy to find. Costas who checked us on couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is spectacular in a shabby chic/gypsy wedding style. Wonderful to visit but you wouldn't want to live there. The breakfast was extensive and a buffet with...

In the heart of the old town, near all the local amenities, restaurants bars and shopping. An ideal place to stay. We were on the second floor front and had a small balcony overlooking the street. The suite was all white very stylish. A super King sleigh bed. Satin drape on the wall behind the bed. A white chaise lounge...

We be using this hotel for our stay in Athens for 4 years now and it was great, centrally located to all the important sites and transport hubs. Management has changed recently and In our last stay we were disappointed with the service and the breakfast offerings while the prices have increased. We were in the diamond plus on the...

The Athens Diamond is conveniently located to everything! Take the subway from the airport and walk 2 blocks to the hotel. You are only 2 blocks to the corner where the Hop-on, Hop-off buses. If you are taking the ferry to an island, the terminal is easily reached by the subway and very inexpensive. There are many restaurants within easy...

Athens Diamond Plus will be my favourite place to stay in Athens. I am visiting Athens 2-3 times per year, it was the first time that I stay there but everything was excellent. Very clean, the staff was very very friendly, fantastic room, the wi-fi was free. Excellent hotel in the heart of Athens.

Athens Diamond Plus was a great choice for me. Location was perfect - loads of shopping, cafes, restaurants all very close. Easy to find and get to with public transport. Reception was basic - but it was all that I needed. Wifi was strong and worked easily the whole time I was there.

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
