A great hotel in a good location and only a 3 star!! Lovely room and modern bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plentiful breakfast and access to free tea and coffee most of the day. The roof top area really makes your stay with fantastic views over the Acropolis as you sip a glass of fine Greek wine.

It was a comfortable stay in Plaka hotel. It's not a fancy one and even a little bit old. But the staff there is friendly and room is clean and nice. What's more surprised is there fantastic view in roof garden!! Do visit their roof garden during your stay!

Rooftop bar has wonderful view of Acropolis and Plaka district. Staff went out of their way to help and make you feel at home. Would definitely stay...

This hotel is a little gem, so central. 10 mins brings you to the foot of the Acropolis, Hadrians library is less than 5min away. The rooms are lovely, fluffy towels, excellent shower and bath, the breakfast caters for everyone, just great. This hotel is in the Plaka area (old quarter), across the road you will find Ermou Street which is a shopping street, around the corner lots of bars, restaurants, touristy shops. We stayed here for 2 nights before heading to the islands and our room was on the 2nd floor, very comfortable bed and room clean. The second time we...

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
