Dear mevoydela, It is great complement to be described as a "good 4* Hotel, though Plaka Hotel is a 3* superior at the "best location" with staff that will do with pleasure the "extra mile". We will definitely pass on your comments to our hotel staff and we will be looking forward to welcoming you once you visit Athens again....

We had a triple reserved at this hotel and enjoyed our stay very much. I cannot emphasize how centrally located it truly is from everything that you would want to be doing as a tourist in Athens. Tons of restaurants close by. A good hike up the hill to the Parthenon and over to its visitor center, circling back around...

Friendly and adequate hotel and with the very best view of the Parthenon from both my room and from the comfortable bar on the rooftop. I had the happiest few days here. Centrally located for everything major in Athens and convenient for greys restaurants and cafés.

We have read many reviews about this hotel and all were correct: the location was perfect. Yes its not very comfortable or very luxury but this wasn't what we were looking for. You may loose the taste of the city if you stay somewhere far to the old part and Plaka Hotel is right in the taget!

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
